In its Voice forme it has flowing, wavy green hair and light blue eyes. In its Step forme it has auburn hair that seems to be stylized in a high bun and red eyes. In either forme its midriff matches its hair.

Trivia
- No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Meloetta's Step Forme.
Origin
Meloetta appears to be based on the Muses of Greek Mythology, in particular Terpsichore, the Muse of dance and chorus, and possibly Euterpe, the Muse of music and poetry. Meloetta's Step form might also be based on female pop singers in various media.
Name origin
Its name likely derives from "melody," or song, and "etta", a common suffix in female names.
