Champion Stadium

Revision as of 22:16, 14 June 2023 by Ht14 (talk | contribs) (Text replacement - "Co-op Sync Orb Masters.png" to "Masters Co-op Sync Orb.png")

The Champion Stadium (Japanese: チャンピオンバトル Champion Battle) is a special battle area in Pokémon Masters EX. Introduced on August 28, 2020, shortly after the release of Version 2.0.0, it features battles against the Elite Four of a region, followed by the corresponding Pokémon Champion. The Champion can only be challenged after all members of the Elite Four are defeated.

The Hard difficulty level is unlocked after completing the Normal difficulty. The battles include special parameters that can affect both allies and opponents; these parameters change after each victory, and they are randomly selected each week. The battle against the Champion includes one set parameter and one that is selected from the parameters used in the Elite Four battles. Additionally, sync pairs used to defeat an Elite Four member cannot be used in later battles during a challenge The challenge can only be attempted on Hard difficulty or higher once for one region each week, until the full medal for that region is completed, in which players gain access to the Reset feature. The Pokémon used by the opponents and their weaknesses can change week to week.

Players can obtain Champion Spirits and 5★ Power-Up Tickets from completing battles. Medals can also be earned for each difficulty level above Normal and each region by achieving Hall of Fame status with all sync pair types.

Master Mode was introduced to Champion Stadium on December 28, 2020, along with the Johto Challenge. Once all 18 sync pair types have been entered into the Hall of Fame for a region, players can replay the challenge after completing it for the week, and various options become available to give the advantage to opponents. Players earn points for completing battles, based on the selected options, and they earn rewards for reaching point total thresholds. On December 6, 2021, the maximum number of points per battle was increased from 7500 to 10000, with new rewards added. On April 3, 2023, the maximum number of points per battle was increased to 12500 with the addition of new options and new rewards.

Victory Road was introduced to Champion Stadium on February 24, 2022. It acts as a guide for taking on difficult battles, such as the Hard difficulty battles in Champion Stadium, including story areas and battles using preset teams, with useful tips for completing the challenges. Players receive various rewards for completing Victory Road, including a One-Time-Only 5★-Select Scout Ticket that lets players choose Sygna Suit Red and Charizard, Sygna Suit Leaf and Venusaur, or Sygna Suit Blue and Blastoise.

Kanto Challenge

The Kanto Challenge was the first Champion Stadium challenge, available starting from August 28, 2020 to December 28, 2020. The second run was available from February 1, 2021 to March 1, 2021. The third run available from May 3 to 31, 2021.

Pasio Special Stadium

The Pasio Special Stadium is a special, limited-time event in the Champion Stadium. It runs concurrently with the normal Champion Stadium challenges. During the event, players are challenged to battle against a mix of Elite Four and a Champion from different regions, with all five battles sharing one featured type weakness.

The usual rules apply to the Pasio Special Stadium as to the normal Stadium with regards to restricting sync pairs after they are used to win a battle, special parameters, and the use of Master Mode options, although the Master Mode point rewards differ from in the normal Stadium.

Grass

This event ran from April 11 to 25, 2023.

Round Parameter Description
Elite Four Round 1 Make use of physical damage reduction to battle opponents with high Attack! The allied and opponents' fields of play start the battle with physical damage reduction.
Elite Four Round 2 Use status conditions and other conditions against all opponents! Status conditions and other conditions deal more damage, last longer, and are more likely to take effect.
Elite Four Round 3 Use special attack moves against opponents with low Sp. Atk! Special attack moves are powered up for allies and opponents.
Elite Four Round 4 Use sync moves quickly against all opponents! At the start of battle, sync move countdowns are reduced by half.
Champion Use stat-lowering effects on your opponents! Stat-lowering effects have a greater effect than normal for allies and opponents.
