'''<font color="#FF0000">Gengar is a mischeivous and malevolent Pokémon that feeds on the life forces of other beings. It pretends to be a person's shadow, then suddenly acts erratic and laughs, taking delight in the terror of its victim.</font>'''
'''<font color="#FF0000">Machamp's four arms can throw punches and chops from all directions, making its attacks impossible to block. It can throw 1,000 punches in two seconds, and one arm alone can displace a mountain. If it grabs your limbs with its arms, it's over. It has horrible dexterity, though, and any work requiring this would get its arms tangled.</font>'''

Gengar is a powerful {{type2|Ghost}} and {{type2|Poison}} Pokémon. It has excellent potential on many teams. Why? It has a diverse movepool, and outstanding Special Attack and Speed. It's great for either damage or status; your choice.

It can make wonderful use of {{m|Shadow Ball}} and {{m|Sludge Bomb}}, due to STAB. It also has access to {{m|Thunderbolt}}, {{m|Energy Ball}}, {{m|Dark Pulse}} (one of the less recommended moves due to bad coverage), {{m|Focus Blast}}, {{m|Psychic}}, and on the status side, {{m|Will-O-Wisp}}, {{m|Hypnosis}}, {{m|Toxic}}, {{m|Substitute}}, {{m|Destiny Bond}}, {{m|Taunt}}, {{m|Confuse Ray}}, and {{m|Trick}}. Truthfully, I don't know why it can't learn {{m|Thunder Wave}}.

It can be given Choice Specs and a Timid nature, to occasionally come in and do a lot of damage. It can also Trick a Choice Scarf to the foe. And it can work the Sub-Petaya set.

And there are some new Tutor moves in {{g|HeartGold and SoulSilver}}. If I'm right, Gengar can learn an especially enticing move: {{m|Nasty Plot}}. This led me to form a strategy that I will use if it can learn the move.

''Shadow Ball

Thunderbolt
Machamp is a ''definite'' OU. It has monsterously high Attack, a very diverse movepool, and the famous {{a|No Guard}}. It lacks Speed, but it has enough bulk to throw a '''''painful''''' punch.

Focus Blast
The most famous strategy with Machamp is the No Guard-{{m|DynamicPunch}} combo. Dynamic Punch is a powerful {{type2|Fighting}} attack that confuses the foe, if it doesn't '''''kill!!''''' But it has a pathetic 50% accuracy. Thankfully, No Guard fixes that one gaping flaw. It also helps with {{m|Stone Edge}} and {{m|Cross Chop}}.

Nasty Plot''
It can make use of the above moves, and {{m|Fire Punch}}, {{m|Ice Punch}}, {{m|ThunderPunch}}, {{m|Earthquake}}, and {{m|Close Combat}}. It also has {{m|Bullet Punch}} for priority.
252 Sp. Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP</center>'''

That's right, it'll be a Nasty Plot sweeper!
More to come.
