He was impressed by her {{p|Poliwag}}'s {{m|Hydro Pump}} during a {{pkmn|battle}} against his {{p|Graveler}}. They went on to date for some time, eventually got married, and had their ten children.


Lola was married to {{ka|Flint}} and had ten children. Flint left one day to become a professional [[Pokémon Trainer]] and never returned. Some time after that, Lola herself wandered away to [[Pokémon training|train]] Pokémon, leaving Brock in charge of his many siblings. One of Lola's many hobbies is decorating.
She, like her husband, left the family home prior to ''[[EP005|Showdown in Pewter City]]'' to pursue her own goals and artistic ventures. This left {{an|Brock}} in charge of the household, his {{Brocksib|nine younger siblings}}, and the [[Pewter Gym]].


In the {{pkmn|Chronicles}} episode ''[[H001|A Family That Battles Together, Stays Together]]'', Brock returned to Pewter City after traveling through [[Kanto]], [[Johto]], and the [[Orange Archipelago]] and found that Flint was shirking his Gym Leader duties. Flint explained that the Gym was ruined because Lola had returned. Lola had totally redecorated the inside and outside of the Gym, planting a series of trees and bushes outside. She also filled the inside of the Gym with water, and decorated it with streamers and pink hearts and stars. Flint ended up closing the Gym because he couldn't stand it anymore.
Brock was surprised to see Lola when he returned home in ''A Family That Battles Together Stays Together!'', and was also impressed by her newly-{{pkmn2|caught}} {{t|Water}} Pokémon. However, her redecoration efforts of the Gym and changing it to a Water-type Gym led Flint to once again abandon the household, and Lola subsequently became the [[Pewter City]] [[Gym Leader]]. Brock confronted Lola directly about the issue, but she was too busy hanging her latest painting find and casually noted that Water Pokémon were much better than {{type|Rock}}s.

Lola and Flint later had a [[rematch]] for the title of Gym Leader. Flint was sure he would lose due to type disadvantage, but Brock pressured him into having the battle anyway. Flint's {{p|Golem}} almost ended up drowning during the match and had to be resuscitated. Flint was almost ready to run away again, but after some flirting, Lola and Flint ended up rekindling their relationship. As a result, the pair agreed to change the Gym to specialize in both Rock- and Water-types, much to their children's dismay.


Brock returned home to find his mother cheerfully redecorating the house. Lola gushed over her own work and showed off her {{type2|Water}} Pokémon and said that they were much better than {{type2|Rock}}s. Brock demanded to know how Flint could let this happen, and Flint explained that he just couldn't say no to his wife.
Not ready to give up, Brock decided to battle his own mother to fully restore the Gym to its heritage Rock-type theme, and he came out victorious. Lola said she would give up trying to change the Gym's type, but Flint managed to persuade Brock to let Lola keep the decorations, even though she was supposed to take them down if she lost.
