The first one I think of is getting Aguav Berries for the first time during that Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Mirelands request followed by Munchlax eating 5 of them in that same cutscene - what does the game do if your Bag is full at that time? ::Dug around somewhat online and it says an extra slot is created just before battling (normal form) Dialga/Palkia, so the player always has room to hold the gifted Ultra Balls if they don't have any.
