Vladimir debuted in ''[[AG090|Pokéblock, Stock and Berry]]'', where he escorted {{Ash}} and [[Max]] to his impressive {{pkmn|training}} course in a bid to teach [[Ash's Swellow]] how to master {{m|Aerial Ace}}. Using his {{p|Pidgeotto}}, Vladimir demonstrated the correct way to use the move. He then set up a bunch of targets and told Ash that he had to try and get Swellow to hit them. Ash had Swellow try this multiple times, without much success. By ''[[AG091|Lessons in Lilycove]]'', however, Swellow got the move down perfectly. Ash thanked Vladimir for his assistance and continued on with {{ashfr}} towards [[Mossdeep City]].
