While yes, the Applin family being a branched evolution with more than two branches is not unique, I feel it's still worth noting, given that it's been seven whole generations since the last time a new family was introduced with more than two branches. Similar drought trivia is often permitted, such as Pawmi and Pawmo being the first electric rodents since Pichu to be able to evolve. An electric rodent being able to evolve isn't unique, but the long gap in time makes it notable. I think we could include something along the lines of "With the introduction of Dripplin, Applin and its evolved forms are the first new evolution line to have more than two branched evolutions since the introduction of Tyrogue and Hitmontop seven generations earlier."
