 The two Legendary Pokémon are believed to have been born from a place far beyond the [[Slumbering Weald]]. They are described as being the heroes of the Galar region that worked alongside a king of Galar to save the region from the rampage of {{p|Eternatus}} during the [[Darkest Day]], before becoming statues and disappearing into the Slumbering Weald. The two were eventually forgotten by history, their role in the Darkest Day being attributed to a pair of human heroes instead.
