There isn't a more detailed description about the events told by him than this book. You can find a lot of details about the development of these games, just to give a few examples... the story of how they had to restart the project when the game was already finished, because after testing the game Tsunekazu Ishihara didn't understood what Satoshi Tajiri wanted to tell with this game (also a part of the reason why the games took 5 years to create). Or the story about how the release was even pushed back further from December 21, 1995 to February 27, 1996 and link cable battles added shortly before the release. Tajiri's side about the story of Mew was added by Shigeki Morimoto after the debug phase as part of a prank (often mistranslated or misunderstood in interviews by western sources). Mew's discovery by Japanese players due to the select bug and how that lead to trouble with Nintendo and the first distribution of Mew.
