Grounded: Difference between revisions

Some of these characteristics can be negated by certain moves or Abilities, such as {{m|Gastro Acid}} or {{a|Klutz}}. Additionally, during the execution of a {{cat|Moves that ignore Abilities|move that ignores Abilities}} or an {{cat|Abilities that ignore other Abilities|Ability that ignores other Abilities}}, Pokémon that are only ungrounded due to Levitate are treated as if they were grounded for the execution of that move.<!--Moves/Abilities that alter type/Abilities/items do not need to be mentioned, these are obvious because the ungrounded criteria is entirely invalidated by being removed (instead of just being negated).-->

Pokémon that are in the {{cat|Moves with a semi-invulnerable turn|semi-invulnerable turn}} of a move (including the target of {{m|Sky Drop}}) are also unaffected by effects that only work against grounded Pokémon. However, this status does not make them immune to Ground-type moves—they can still be affected by Ground-type moves if those moves successfully to hit them (via the effects of {{a|No Guard}}, {{m|Lock-On}}, or {{m|Mind Reader}}), and a Pokémon using {{m|Dig}} can still be hit by {{m|Earthquake}}, {{m|Magnitude}} and {{m|Fissure}}. Additionally, a Pokémon in a semi-invulnerable turn of a move will not gain the smacked down status unless they are also ungrounded (but Pokémon in the semi-invulnerable turn of {{m|Fly}} or {{m|Bounce}} will still be knocked out of the move).
