'''Watt''' (Japanese: '''ワット''' ''Watt'') is a minor recurring character in the [[Pokémon anime]]. He is the assistant to [[Wattson]] at the [[Mauville Gym]].

Watt first appeared was in ''[[AG040|Watt's with Wattson?]]''. He more or less stood aside and let [[Wattson]] do everything, although he did serve as the [[Battle judge|referee]] in {{Ash}}'s [[Gym]] {{pkmn|battle}} for the {{badge|Dynamo}}. Watt realized something was amiss when Wattson took off following his defeat, and he later led the group to a nearby [[New Mauville|abandoned power plant]]. After {{TRT}}'s defeat, Watt was relieved that Wattson decided to resume his role as {{ci|Mauville}} [[Gym Leader]].

When Ash and the others returned in ''[[AG059|Manectric Charge]]'', Watt was featured much more prominently. He battled {{an|May}} and her {{TP|May|Skitty}} with his {{p|Ampharos}}. Skitty proved to be stronger and defeated his Ampharos. Watt later informed May that a [[Pokémon Contest]] was taking place in [[Verdanturf Town]].

 

Watt is an overly anxious and concerned individual, mainly because [[Wattson]]'s jokes can go too far. Even so, he and his boss are a fantastic team with Watt's responsible nature assisting Wattson in running the [[Mauville Gym]].

|desc={{p|Ampharos}} is Watt's only known Pokémon Watt. It first appeared in ''[[AG059|Manectric Charge]]'', where it used Iron Tail to break {{TRT}}'s net and release {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}}s' Pokémon. Then, its Thunder Shock, combined with [[Ash's Pikachu]] using {{m|Thunder}} and [[Wattson's Electrike]] using {{m|Thunder Wave}}, was able to send Team Rocket blasting off.

Later in the [[Mauville Gym]], after seeing how well {{an|May}} had trained her {{TP|May|Skitty}}, Watt used his Ampharos to test her skills in a battle. Skitty was having a hard time, but was able to fight back in the end, defeating Ampharos.
