+::Using the term "Trainer escape glitch" should work instead of "Long-range Trainer."  I think that the minimum requirements could be defined as a Trainer that encounters you by sight and using an item (Escape Rope), a move (Teleport/Fly/Dig), or a method (Fainting in a wild battle/Using a glitch item) to prevent that battle from starting.  (I do want to note that I might argue for a split instead of a move, but I am not really sure which would be better.)
