Pokémon Catcher was first released in the {{TCG|Emerging Powers}} expansion, originating from the {{TCG|White Collection}}. It was reprinted in the {{TCG|Battle Strength Decks}}, {{TCG|Battle Theme Deck: Victini}}, the {{TCG|Reshiram-EX Battle Strength Deck|Reshiram-EX}} and {{TCG|Zekrom-EX Battle Strength Deck}}s, and the {{TCG|Battle Gift Set: Thundurus vs Tornadus}}. It was later included in the {{TCG|Dark Explorers}} expansion as an Ultra-Rare {{TCG|Secret card}}, originating from the Japanese {{TCG|Dark Rush}} expansion. The original print has subsequently been reprinted in Japan as part of the {{TCG|Master Deck Build Box EX}}, the {{TCG|Everyone's Exciting Battle}} collection, the {{TCG|Blastoise + Kyurem-EX Combo Deck}}, and the {{TCG|Mewtwo vs Genesect Deck Kit}}.
 
Pokémon Catcher was reprinted again during the XY Series in the English {{TCG|Kalos Starter Set}}, first originating from the Japanese {{TCG|XY Beginning Set}}, with new artwork by [[5ban Graphics]] and the updated text to coincide with the XY Series errata. This artwork was later reprinted in the Japanese {{TCG|Xerneas Half Deck|Xerneas}} and {{TCG|Yveltal Half Deck}}s, the {{TCG|Hyper Metal Chain Deck}}, the {{TCG|Super Legend Set: Xerneas-EX & Yveltal-EX}}, as well as the English {{TCG|XY Trainer Kit}}. An unnumbered XY-P Promotional print of this artwork will be released aswas one of five Trainer cards foravailable in conjunction with the ''Pokémon Card Game Deck Building Seminar'' beingevent held inas Japanesepart of the Pokémon Center Pokémon Card Game School. This was present at participating Pokémon Centers in Japan from October 25- to November 16, 2014 and was open for elementary school-aged children. wishingA to20-card learnset morecomprising abouttwo deckcopies each of five Trainer cards plus 10 Energy cards could be purchased at Pokémon Centers during the event for building¥100.
