This shouldn't boil down to what the game uses to refer to the character. This is supposed to be an encyclopedia; as such, "mother" is the right choice because it's formal and thus encyclopedic. :I'm not sure if the infobox's "name" parameter is supposed to be the same as the page title, but if so, I definitely support keeping the page at "Mom". That character is the player's mother, yes, but if you refer to her, it should either be "Mom" or "(the) player's mother", fully descriptively.
:...And, after having typed that, I think that pretty well describes my opinion. I think there is only one set of characters referred to as Mom, and that is the player's mom/mother. But just "Mother" is broader than "Mom"/the player's mother. I would definitely support moving this page to "(The) Player's mother" before I would support moving it to "Mother". And I think it'd be a toss-up for me between that and "Mom"... 21:40, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
