::Exactly. In fact the maximum amount of Pokémon you carry is six and you have a goal to catch every Pokémon in the game. If you weren't allowed to store them in the PC, Pokédex completion would be impossible, unless the party capacity was changed to all 718 which can make ridiculously long battles that literally take forever.
