Pokémon hunter (JN146)

The Pokémon hunter (Japanese: ポケモンハンター Pokémon Hunter) is a character of the day who appeared in Ash and Latios. He is the final character of the day to appear in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.

The Pokémon hunter

He had previously caught a Latios, only for it to escape. He rode around on his Hydreigon, looking for it only to spot Ash, his friends, and Latias who were also looking for Latios. After Ash was able to heal Latios, he confronted them and tried to catch Latios by turning it into stone with his weapon, only for Latias to take the hit instead. He managed to escape the cave with Latias, only to be pursued by Ash's Swellow.

When Ash and his friends caught up with him having managed to convince Latios they were on his side, he was being attacked by Swellow whom he was able to stop by turning it into stone. Brock attacked with his Steelix before Steelix was turned to stone. He was attacked by Ash, destroying his weapon that reverted the Pokémon who were turned to stone before Hydreigon was defeated. He was arrested after Officer Jenny arrived on the scene.
