In Japan, this card was available as a JumboUnnumbered Promotional card on an insert in the August 1999 issue of Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic Special, released on June 30, 1999.
Trivia
The text on the top right of the card border reads: "Movie "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure" special jumbo card." As a Jumbo card, it cannot be used at official tournaments.
The text on the bottom of the card border features the Bessatsu CoroCoro Special logo and reads: "Bessatsu CoroCoro Comic August issue supplement." The 1999 Pikachu the Movie logo is present in place of an expansion symbol.
