My Pokémon Place: New Year is a kid-centric website where players can play games, unlock downloadable activities such as coloring sheets, and decorate their home with Pokémon accessories. The website was released on December 1, 2021, and remains accessible despite previously being planned to close on December 31, 2021.
The website features a village filled with Pokémon, buildings, and numbered circles which represent daily activities that can be completed. Activities range from watching videos, creating arts and craft, and reading short stories. New activities are unlocked each day as a countdown to the New Year.
Players may also decorate their room and loft with Pokémon, lights, and other decorations, and further interior decorations can be unlocked by completing activities. A post box in front of the home allows the player to receive a new postcard each day. The camera icon in the house or town can be used to download a photo of the scene.
One hidden Pikachu can be found in the village each day.
The website can play without logging in, but requires signing in with their Pokémon Trainer Club account to save the player's progress each day.
