List of items in Pokémon Shuffle
There are generally three different types of items in Pokémon Shuffle. One group applies to a specific stage and can be bought with Coins, mostly immediately before starting the stage. Another group has effects that apply to the whole game for a period of time and can only be bought with Jewels during Special Shop periods. The final group are called Enhancements and are applied to specific Pokémon as permanent improvements; these cannot be bought.
The player can store up to 99 of any item. The Great Ball and game-wide items can only be obtained by purchase and are used immediately, so it is impossible to hold any stock of them.
Stage-use items
When the player selects a stage to play, the lower part of the screen will display an inventory of items that the player can buy or use to affect the stage when they play it. These items can sometimes be obtained as rewards for completing certain stages.
Each of these items has a cost in Coins, but if the player currently has stock for an item that they previously obtained, the game will display the player's stock of that item instead of its cost. The stocked items will be consumed before Coin-cost items - the player cannot spend Coins on a specific item unless their stock of that item has reached 0.
Item | Japanese name | Cost (3DS) | Cost (Mobile) | Description | Usable at | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Moves +5 | 手かず+5 Number of Moves + 5 |
Coins ×800 | Coins ×1,000 | Increases the moves left by 5 moves, but does not affect ability to catch Pokémon. | Stages with a move limit (but not competitive stages) | |
Time +10 | 制限時間+10秒 Time Limit + 10 Seconds |
Coins ×800 | Coins ×1,000 | Increases the time left by 10 seconds, but does not affect ability to catch Pokémon. | Stages with a time limit (but not competitive stages) | |
Exp. Points ×1.5 | 経験値1.5倍 Experience Points 1.5× |
Coins ×300 | Coins ×800 | Increases the Exp. Points earned at the end of a stage by 50%. | Not in special stages that do not award Experience. | |
Mega Start | メガスタート Mega Start |
Coins ×2,000 | Coins ×2,500 | Your Pokémon in the first slot Mega Evolves as a stage begins. | Only if a Support Pokémon can Mega Evolve. | |
Complexity -1 | パズルポケモン-1 Puzzle Pokémon -1 |
Coins ×9,000 | Coins ×9,500 | One less kind of Pokémon, rock, or block will appear. | Not in 3-Pokémon Stages, Survival Mode, or certain other stages. | |
Disruption Delay | オジャマガード Disruption Guard |
Coins ×1,500 | Coins ×2,000 | Delays your opponent's disruptions. | Only if the opponent can cause disruptions at the beginning of the stage. | |
Attack Power ↑ | パワーアップ Power Up |
Coins ×3,000 | Coins ×5,000 | Attack power gets doubled. | Certain special stages, and UX main stages. |
Notes:
- The items Moves +5 and Time +10 do not affect the stage's clear bonus towards catch rate, but they do positively affect the player's ranking (S, A, B, or C), and extend the duration of Disruption Delay.
- Disruption Delay will last until the stage's moves/time reach half or below-half of the stage's maximum. If Moves +5 or Time +10 are used, then the amount of moves/time after adding them is treated as the maximum.
These items can be received from:
- Main Stage 20 ( Mega Start only, and only for Mobile)
- Some Mission Cards (Mega Start and Disruption Delay)
- special stages
- Many competitive stages (particularly Disruption Delay and Attack Power ↑ for lower rankings)
- Many escalation battles
- Some A Great Chance a Day! stages ( Moves +5, Mega Start, Disruption Delay, and Attack Power ↑)
Great Ball
If the player fails to catch a Pokémon, they can try again with a Great Ball, costing Coins ×2500 in the 3DS Shuffle or Coins ×3500 in Pokémon Shuffle Mobile. Catches with a Great Ball double the catchability percentage. (This does not stack if multiple throws are made.)
Game-use items
These items can only be bought from the Special Shop, which only opens for limited time periods. These items cost Jewels to buy. They are used immediately upon purchase, and affect the whole game for a period of time. Only one can be active at a time; while one is active, the player cannot buy any others from the Special Shop.
Special Shop
Broadly speaking, the Special Shop is usually open for three weeks at a time (sometimes more or less), and usually has at least a month (sometimes more than two) between open dates. During its open times, the Special Shop's campaign is usually divided into consecutive 1-week periods. During each period, only a limited quantity of each item in the Special Shop is available; in the next period, the items are restocked if the player previously bought any. The Special Shop's openings are described in the following table.
As of September 26, 2017, the Special Shop has been made available indefinitely, with restocks occurring every week on Tuesday at 6:00 AM UTC.

Personalized Skill Boosters may also be considered an Enhancement, but unlike the other Enhancements, these cannot be held in stock to be used as the player desires. Personalized Skill Boosters only drop on certain stages, if the player has already caught the opponent Pokémon. Upon clearing the stage, any personalized Skill Boosters that dropped are immediately added to that Pokémon's Skill Gauge. A single personalized Skill Booster adds 1 point to the Skill Gauge.
They can be found in many Main Stages starting at Main Stage 401, as well as in many special stages.
