Someone might wanna do something with this. It's lying there, untouched for a while. I am not sure if it's exactly... good (since I could miss a small thing that's damn important for fully correct functionality), but it might be good idea to update old movesets to the Gen V's standard. It'll make stuff less confusing.{{tt|*|Now where I put that file with all mons that would use this...}} [[User:Marked +-+-+|Marked +-+-+]] ([[User talk:Marked +-+-+|talk]]) 14:20, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for doing most of the legwork in changing all the infoboxes/categories/etc for the side series games last month. We still need an actual page for them and a corresponding template, so I took the liberty of Frankenstein-ing them together since they've been left undone. ([[User:Pumpkinking0192/Side series]] and [[User:Pumpkinking0192/Template:Side series]]) I based them on the [[Spin-off Pokémon games]] article and template, so they're not pretty-looking by a long shot, but they exist and are functional, which is a lot better than before. Are these ready for the mainspace, and if not, what can I do to fix that? (Unless there are already plans in place for something different to be done with side series-related stuff, in which case never mind about all this.) Thanks! I noticed you proposed [http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Rank&diff=1701918&oldid=1685370 here] that this article be split into three; one article for each game. I disagree with this. If you look at the length of each section, there is simply not enough information in each to justify giving them their own articles. For example, look at the Contest section. It consists of five sentences and two charts. In my opinion, that's not enough for a separate article. The Mystery Dungeon section is the longest in the article, and I think there's enough in there to split it off, but the other two sections don't appear long enough for separate articles. But if we split off the MD section, then I don't know what to do with the Ranger Rank and Contest sections. What do you think? :Since you left this message, I did indeed split the article into [[Rank (Contest)]], [[Rank (Mystery Dungeon)]], and [[Ranger Rank]], and I think they're all good quality pages. Additionally, I disagree that completely different topics should share an article simply due to sharing an English name because they aren't long enough. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 16:42, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

:The reason the template is the way it is is so that there are fewer nested templates when included on pages. It does the same thing as yours, but is less expensive. Could I please ask you a simple favor? The thing is that someone didn't know that in Project GlitchDex we conventioned that, due to their cheating-only availability, the glitch pokémon from FB to FD shouldn't have articles associated. So that user created a page for 'M 'N g. I placed a delete tag there, with the explanation. Hey Snorlax. I was about to make this request to MAGNEDETH, but he was no longer a bureaucrat. And after checking the list of rights, it seems that the only kinds of users that can remove people from abuse are bureaucrats and senior admins, and Mag is now a vice-webmaster. Well, enough talk about him. I was going to talk about me. I've been in abuse for three and a half years. I was only a beginner when I first joined Bulbapedia. Bulbapedia was the first wiki I've ever edited, so my userspace abuse was just a beginner's mistake. I've had a lot of practice in Wikia. While I'm aware that there are some people here that don't like Wikia, I still learned a lot. And recently, I've been contributing a lot of XY related stuff in the mainspace of Bulbapedia. Guess who was up all night completing [[List of Pokémon that appear in every regional Pokédex]]? I did! That was real dedication to stay up all night past my bedtime just to add Kalos Dex numbers to the list. And also, my [[User:SeanWheeler|userpage]] is very outdated. I promise I will only edit my userpage once a month, and have at least 10 mainspace edits between userspace edits. And I will check the preview of my userspace at least twice before publishing. If I make a mistake on my userpage, I will wait the next month before correcting it. I will not abuse my userspace privilages and that is a promise. So can I have them back? I'm not sure of where has this discussion been held here but the international standard dictates that the thousands separator should only be used for numbers starting in 10000 (thus rendering it as 10,000 or 10.000). Numbers from 1000 to 9999 should remain as is.

Hey Snorlax, I think we need to update the [[Template:Party|Party template]] because there are two major tag battles in Kalos that neither trainer had three Pokémon. The current template made it seem like [[Trevor]] owned [[Tierno]]'s {{p|Corphish}} and [[Celosia]] stole [[Bryony]]'s {{p|Liepard}}. I asked about this on the [[Template talk:Party|template's talk page]] but got no reply and the template wasn't updated. So I thought I might ask someone more directly. In my comment on the template talk page, I wrote out the source code and added the possible variables for the "Pokemon" parameter: 1+1, 1+2, 1+3, 2+1, 2+2, 2+3, 3+1, well you get the idea, right? While 3+1 would work similar to 4, 1+1 and 2+1 would give the space in the Poké Ball icons and show ownership better by putting Bryony's and Tierno's Pokémon in the appropriate color. I've shown an example of how it should look in my comment on the template talk page. If you found an error in my coding, feel free to correct it. :We are currently working on organizing models. Once we finish with Gen VI models, we will likely move on to Stadium (and give them systematic names). After we do, I imagine the Party template would be updated to accommodate them. If you are interested in helping out with models, it's probably best to ask Kogoro. I was making a few edits to fix the userpages of other users to remove '[[Bulbapedia:Userspace_policy#Other_users'_pages|broken links that appear on the wanted pages]]' per policy.  However, I believe that in a few cases, some of the used templates are causing the issue.  My request if you would edit a few templates to help remove the userpages from the Wanted Categories.  Specifically, 'Template:Pokémon/6' and similar templates have an issue in how they handle types.  If the 'type' parameter is blank, then the 'unknown color dark' template is substituted properly.  However, if there is a 'type1' or 'type2' parameter called that is blank, then the template will attempt to substitute a template called 'color dark' instead.  The 'move1' and other move parameters appear to not be affected by this.  Seperately, there are [http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere/Template:! five calls] for 'Template:!' which has been deleted due to being "No longer needed as of 1.24.0," as stated on the delete log.  These cases involve calling 'Template:!' as a part of 'Template:Template' on the talkpage to render the text similar to the following: <nowiki>{{!}}</nowiki>.  Unlike in my example, I cannot add 'Template:Red link' to remove it from the Wanted Categories as it interfers with 'Template:Template' and I was wondering if you would be able to come up with a solution.  Thank you for your time, --[[User:Super goku|Super goku]] ([[User talk:Super goku|talk]]) 10:24, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

== Dive Label Opinion? ==
It sounds like my treatment of {{m|Dive}} differs from the Gen. III template, so I think we need to visit the labeling of the move after [[User talk:PKMNAdventurer#Dive|this quick conversation]].  Here's the information I have from this conversation and my own research:
*Per PKMNAdventurer, Dive is not labeled as {{sup/3|RSE}} at all in Gen. III movesets.  The reasoning is because HM08 was not available in FR/LG, and I have no information on this consensus from 10 years or so ago (I wasn't here, I was actually a moderator at a non-Pokémon forum at the time).
*The [[Dive (move)|move page]] splits the columns, thus providing clarity that it's learned in certain games in Gen. III, though not very well (the first column is supposedly R/S/E).  This contradicts the non-labeling on Gen. III movesets by suggesting it needs to be clarified all the way down the table.
*On the same page, while Gen. VI entries (I put in Kalos and Wailmer/Wailord, who can learn it naturally, for now) are not split, they currently cannot be split.  They would otherwise be split the same way with the right column being ORAS and the XY column empty.
*[[User:CycloneGU/TMHM6|My own template]] includes the {{sup/3|ORAS}} label.  All applicable Gen. III learners now have the label on the move as I've edited pretty much every TM list from 252-386 (and some relations to that group, such as {{p|Marill}} and {{p|Azumarill}}).
*If we're going to argue that HM07 needs no {{sup/3|ORAS}} label, we might as well remove it from HM06 as well since HM06 didn't exist in X/Y, even though it's the same move as the former TM94.
My reasoning for the label in both Gen. III cases and the current ones: readers who don't know might assume you can get the Dive HM in X/Y (or FR/LG on those pages).  Though the move page splits it, having no label actually contradicts the move page.
What are your thoughts on this?  I would have no problem going back and labeling {{sup/3|RSE}} on the Gen. III tables, but I don't want to do that without fielding staff opinion on the matter and possibly causing trouble without doing so.  For now, I'm going to continue using the label on pages I work on (and that might be sporadic, I'm on a loaner ATM since mine has to be repaired again, not done right the first time), and it could always be removed by bot later, which can include my template.  I'm doing the various tables for starter pages ATM in Notepad, then editing in one edit all at once by copying the tables in one at a time, but I tend to prep the TM and Tutor tables and edit the movelist during the single edit.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 03:13, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

:All autoconfirmed users [[Special:ListGroupRights|have access]] to the move function, although it's possible for admins to moveprotect pages, like the [[Main Page]] is; I assume when a page is moveprotected on Bulbapedia the move tab doesn't show up for non-staff autoconfirmed users, although I've had staff powers for so long I forget. However, just because you have the technical capability to move a page doesn't mean you should without discussing it first. Also I assume you're using [{{SERVER}}{{localurl:Main Page|useskin=vector}} Vector] based on your description of the layout (which I don't—I use [{{SERVER}}{{localurl:Main Page|useskin=monobook}} Monobook]); it's possible that there was a layout change for Vector in the last MediaWiki update. Also, the "More" dropdown (which only appears in Vector) also includes the "Delete" and "Change protection" options for me, and I have used wikis that have other options there too due to extensions. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 09:13, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
== Disambiguation pages format ==
For some while, I've felt that Bulbapedia's dominant format for disambiguation pages is wrongheaded. (For most, that is; some, like [[046]], do it "right".) I [[User talk:Funktastic~!/Archive 2#Bad formats on disambiguation pages|talked with]] Funktastic~! about it when I originally tried to change a few pages, and after that I tried leaving a question [[Bulbapedia talk:Editor's Hub#Disambiguation pages format|on the Editor's Hub]] with less than breathtaking results. (My basic argument: the disambiguated links should be at the beginning&mdash;that's where people will look first, and that's much easier than trying to find the right link a variable distance from the start of the line. And, FWIW, Wikipedia's manual of style [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Disambiguation_pages#Individual_entries for disambigs] specifies the same. But see either of the preceding links for a bit more.)
Based in part on the minimal support I got on the Editor's Hub, I've been altering disambig pages (only a few in total) as I have reason to edit or create them. But, a short while ago, you just [http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Mirage_Forest&curid=43192&diff=2229937&oldid=2219314 reversed] that format on [[Mirage Forest]]. Perhaps you would care to provide me with another opinion on Bulbapedia's format? Perhaps you would even care to put a bit of a bug in staff's ear about this, so that it might actually be discussed rather than languish with barely a single comment. IMO, it doesn't matter how much work might be involved; if it is wrong (and I adamantly believe it is), it should be fixed&mdash;or at least officially declared to deserve fixing, so that such work might be known to need doing and may, at the least, be done at convenience, rather than staying wrong forever (and ever). [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 10:57, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
:I take your point, although in general I don't have strong feelings about how it should be formatted. However, in the specific case of [[Mirage Forest]], because the text didn't make sense (since it was linking to a section and using that as part of a sentence), I changed it to the other style. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 15:54, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
== Japanese guidebook and DexNav/hidden Pokemon ==
I'm in the middle of gathering data on hidden Pokemon attributes, and when I looked at my results for search level 20, they didn't seem greatly different from search level 10 (unlike 4 vs 5 and 5 vs 10, which have significant jumps in attribute rates). I'm going to try looking at search level 25, but I was wondering if you could maybe check the guidebook and see if it really does say that search levels 5, 10, '''20''', 50, and 100 are when attribute rates go up. If I see a more significant difference at 25 than at 20, then I'll assume that the rates at 20 are really the same as at 10, but it'd also be nice if I weren't actually contradicting the guidebook. [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 08:41, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
:There is indeed a big difference between search levels 20 and 25. I don't know whether the guidebook had a typo or was just misread, but I'm pretty sure the attributes don't go up at search level 20 after all. Hi! Thanks for uploading the Prison Bottle Sprite. Have you already seen my article on [[User:Phiraptor28/Hoopa_(Pokémon)|Hoopa]] and the [[User:Phiraptor28/Prison_ Bottle|Prison Bottle]]? You know because it flatters me if you see my page. I really respect you as a high person ;) [[User:Phiraptor28|Phiraptor28]] ([[User talk:Phiraptor28|talk]]) 14:10, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
== Learnset Comment (Hoopa) ==
I think, within the tables, it might be best to limit to "Confined" or "Unbound" instead of "Hoopa Confined" or "Hoopa Unbound".  Otherwise, you have "Hoopa" appearing twice in the line.  It seems redundant.
Also, are we adding its formes to the tutoring tables as well?  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 16:28, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
:That was quick.  Thanks, I'll look at that in a bit.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 16:42, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
::One more.  Since TM stabs will differ by forme, can you add Hoopa's formes there as well?  Thanks!  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 17:36, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
:::I already have. Is it not working properly? --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 17:37, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
::::Oh, I guess you did that as I was thinking about it in the shower. LOL  I came back and sent it, and just now refreshed the list and see it.  I'll give it a try to make sure on a Dark or Ghost move.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 17:43, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
== Hoopa ==
So apparently, Hoopa is the first Form Changer who doesn't get STAB on {{tt|TM|Fling and Thief}} in default form (Rotom {{tt|does|Shadow Ball}} and Shaymin doesn't learn any Flying-type TMs; the other Pokémon that can willingly change their Form that also changes their typing can do so only in-battle if I recall correctly). I've realized that I am not sure what's the official thing on this situation (since Hoopa's TM compatbility apparently doesn't change for Unbound Forme, even though it can learn Dark Pulse via level), [[User talk:CycloneGU#Separate entries|since by default it shows separate entries only for Pokémon with different learnsets, like Giratina or Shaymin]]. [[User:Eridanus|Eridanus]] ([[User talk:Eridanus|talk]]) 19:40, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
:I'll chime in that I treated them as different because of the different types, and where STAB differs, both should show; I feel it would be wrong to show only the default (confined) form with no STAB, and inaccurate to show that same form with STAB.  Outside of those three cases, I have no opinion, but I do note that whatever treatment is applied to Hoopa should be to Shaymin as well.  Will respect your call on this.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 19:49, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
::Yeah, I had the same thought as CycloneGU. Because they have different types and both appear outside of battle, both should be listed. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 01:08, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
:::So keep both listed for all entries, or just for the different ones and merge the others?  Also, should we split up the two Shaymin formes now (for consistency, similar to Hoopa) since Sky Attack is learned by Shaymin in Sky Forme and gets STAB in Sky Forme?
:::I'm going to finish up Contest data for the Sinnoh legendaries this evening, then I'll be back to working on Hoopa once I switch back to my laptop (I got it back this evening!).  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 01:20, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
::::I would suggest the Shaymin Formes should be split up. Separate entries for all cases IMO. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 16:42, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
== ORAS-Only TM Moves ==
Found a good example of this, but need help in implementing it in the table.  It's been reported (and I've confirmed) that Rhyhorn can learn Smack Down in ORAS, but cannot learn it in X/Y.  We need to note the difference on the move page and I don't see a way to do it yet in the template source code.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 20:21, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

== Infobox ==
If I could edit the template, this would have been done two days ago...but I can't, so I have to ask you now since no one seems to be doing it.  Maybe it's not urgent, but it's just a quick fix.
After my [http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Hyperspace_Fury_%28move%29&diff=2235154&oldid=2235139 edit] at [[Hyperspace Fury]] clearly noting that certain infobox code does not show with a move number over 621 (because it's set to not display with numbers over 621), we made requests at [[Template talk:MoveInfobox]] to change 621 to 622 in the source.  I get why it's done; it regulates which contest tabs are permitted to appear on the page.  That is ALL that needs to be done so that I can put 621 on the move page properly.  Can you please make this change in the template?  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 14:57, 16 January 2015 (UTC)

== ORAS route images and infobox ==
A lot of the route images you've uploaded/added have German labels. This shouldn't be ideal. From a quick look, it seems the [http://www.amazon.com/dp/1101898208/ English ORAS guide] is already out; has someone looked at it and determined that it does not have satisfactory images of the areas?
Also, on some of the routes, you [http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Hoenn_Route_106&curid=13209&diff=2237722&oldid=2237072 seem to have] added the original Gen III images to the infobox as "imageIII", but as it is right now, {{template|Route infobox}} does not display those images. I'm not sure what it would require to make it work without screwing up anything else, but if you want those Gen III images to display, someone should update the template. [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 09:45, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
:Yeah, the labels are in German, and I guess English images would be better. I'm getting them from our German partners, [[PokéWiki]]. I don't know how they got such good quality images (I've tried scanning guidebooks before, and I certainly wouldn't get that quality). However, the images themselves are more useful than the text, so I'm just uploading them.
:As for imageIII, I know it doesn't work, but I'm just putting it there so that if it gets implemented in the future, they will show up immediately. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 09:48, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
== Steven's Metagross's gender ==
Was [[Steven's Metagross]] ever confirmed as genderless? I left a message on the talk page asking if that was true because I thought we weren't supposed to label Pokémon as genderless unless stated that way, but it has been over a month since the message was left unanswered. Also, users kept adding in that Metagross was genderless without any evidence on how it had no gender. [[User:Pattyman|<span style="color:orange">Patty</span>]][[User talk:Pattyman|<span style="color:orange">Man</span>]] 00:20, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
:Did a quick grab from a random Let's Play.  [http://oi59.tinypic.com/nof0j9.jpg Here's a Manectric against Steven's Metagross.]  It's clearly labelled as genderless.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 00:51, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
::Those are the games. What about the anime and manga which would fully confirm it? [[User:Pattyman|<span style="color:orange">Patty</span>]][[User talk:Pattyman|<span style="color:orange">Man</span>]] 01:02, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
:::Not sure, but I presume the anime would honour the fact that it's a genderless Pokémon.  The only way to find a gender is if someone uses Attract, Charm, etc. in the anime and it works, and that would go against Pokémon logic.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 01:07, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
::::I haven't seen anyone use a gender-based move on Metagross so far in the anime and manga, but if someone with Japanese knowledge heard the mention of Metagross's gender, than they could say if it was genderless or not.
