Southern Islands
I am wondering why the Southern Islands Pokemon Trading Card Game Expansion is not included in the List of Pokemon Trading Card Game expansions page?  This expansion is marked by a palm tree.  I have a Raticate and Jigglypuff from this expansion and was wondering what expansion it was from luckily Wikipedia had it.  Also I have cards that are labeled by a pokeball and a number like 30 something.  What are those from?
ALE241996 (talk) 13:18, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
:That'd be because Southern Islands is a Promotional cards, not an expansion. Same as the POP Series, which are the cards with the Poké Ball and numbers on them. <small>glik</small>glak 14:40, 17 February 2015 (UTC)
Card image sources
I'm not really sure where exactly the line lies for an acceptable source for Pokemon card images. I found an eBay listing for all of the Pokémon Colosseum Double Battle e cards with very nice pictures, but I'm not sure if it would be okay to just copy those pictures and upload them here. Could you enlighten me? Tiddlywinks (talk) 07:25, 20 February 2015 (UTC)
:I don't know what Project Games wants for e-reader scans, but if it were Project TCG, I would ask politely if the ebay user would be kind enough to donate the scans for use here, with credits and links on each image's summary section. == Pokémon Shuffle Pokédex Page ==
I asked SnorlaxMonster whether my project page and its associated template can now be moved, and he has yet to get back to me.  Other than changing the name of the template to something like "ShDex" (since Sdex is reserved for Sinnoh) and perhaps getting the icon images used in Shuffle, what is your assessment?  Can these be moved for now or is other work still needed?  Other than creating ability pages (which I can do if we do that), there's not much more to do other than add any new content in the future.  CycloneGU (talk) 00:17, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
Page move request
Hey Maverick Nate, I was wondering if you could move some pages for me (I can't move pages with them leaving redirects behind). The pages are all Glitch Pokémon from Gen I: ゥ► ゥ▼ ゥ should be "ゥ► ゥ▼ ゥ (EE)", ゥ $ A (F3) should be "ゥ► ゥ▼ ゥ (F3)", ゥ 4ぁ 4 should be "ゥ 4- 4", and ゥ 4ぁ 4's  redirect page should be "ゥ 4- 4 (Pokémon)". I have the information to update the List of glitch moves but these should be moved first to avoid problems later. Thanks. Adamws (talk) 02:29, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
:To be honest, I don't entirely feel comfortable doing anything with glitches. Would you be able to ask someone else for me? MaverickNate 03:00, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Contact Please
Greetings,
So I'm new here and not fully sure how to go about doing this. However, I would like to discuss something with you in private (I didn't know if there was a PM function, couldn't find it) and would greatly appreciate it if you could message me in some capacity. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Rock08g
English Cards
I have some cards that you only have pictures of in Japanese in English, such as M Gallade EX and a few more from Roaring Skies, I hope you see my post as this is the first time I've posted on Bulbapedia. == Edit Summary Question ==
I didn't know where to ask this question so I figured I'd just ask a member of staff.
In most edit summaries I can see a blue link arrow with a bit of grey italic text indicating the edited section. I haven't found anything explaining how to do this, so if you could let me know how to add that I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

:It's something that happens automatically if you edit a specific section of a page. I'm not entirely sure if there is a way to do it manually. ::The format is technically just a result of the "/*" and "*/" enclosing the section title. You can basically put them anywhere you want, the only real restriction I know is that it only works once at a time in an edit summary. At any rate, if you're curious, you can always play with your edit summary and preview/show changes to see what happens to the format. == Moves not in the Pokémon games, TCG moves ==
You say the moves that were removed are in the games. Forgive me, but I can't tell how exactly. And if I can't, I wager others wouldn't understand it immediately either. Could you clarify this for me?
If you are set on excluding those moves, I think it may be necessary to add some explanation on the page saying exactly why certain moves are not included in the list even though they are indeed not, strictly speaking, in the games (similar to the way that it is explained that some moves may have been introduced later in the games, but some may also not actually have been the same, like Pidgeot's Hurricane). Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:51, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
:The Japanese names match, thus they are moves from the games. Consider this: someone who knows and uses the Japanese kana for each name sees that the page is listing EX Unseen Forces's Meteor Mash for whatever reason, even though it is from the game. Each origin section should offer an explanation on why they were removed.  Now, I admit that some of the ones removed were based on origin speculation (which shouldn't be listed on card pages anymore), and those should actually be listed. Translational errors such as Clefable's Meteor Mash have a separate place away from that page. The TCG section of that page is extremely far from its eventual final version, and honestly, it doesn't entirely matter the journey we take to get there. ::I see, no wonder I got confused. I did try checking some of the Japanese, like Soothing Scent, but noticed that it wasn't the same as any Japanese game moves; that must be one of the instances those shouldn't have been removed. (It's almost made weirder by the fact that both Plunder and Soothing Scent (at least) were removed once, but are still listed for other cards.) == Ancient Origins Theme Deck articles ==
Hi Maverick Nate. So you know, as I have done for every set since Furious Fists, I have created two articles for the Ancient Origins Theme Decks in my userspace. They can be found at Theme Deck (TCG) and Theme Deck (TCG). MetalMetroid997 (talk) 08:29, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
: Hi Maverick Nate. Thought I should let you know that the English names for the Ancient Origins Theme Decks have been revealed. The Metagross Theme Deck is Iron Tide, while the Regirock Theme Deck is Stone Heart. == Sleeping Pikachu Collection ==
I asked SnorlaxMonster, but have been thinking and realize you might be the better person to ask.
Earlier, I linked the Gen. IV Sleeping Pikachu entry to Sleeping Pikachu Collection, which was a 2009 collection that it was meant to promote.  I then noticed that the article you created only covers the 2014 collection.  I looked up the Bulbanews 2009 collection source and noticed they have unique items, but the same overworked Pikachu.  Can the page be converted to include both and the link I added later changed to include an anchor?
If you don't have time to add it yourself but know where I can get the 2009 collection info, I can also add it when I have an opportunity.  Interestinglyu, someone took video of the 2009 collection which appears on Youtube dated around the time of the collection being released, but I don't think the quality is good enough to see price tags there, so we still need a pricing source.  The page linked in the article has ceased to exist.  CycloneGU (talk) 04:15, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
:I think having them both on the same page for now would be fine. As for prices, those have mostly just been posted in order to keep the information that exists. If we don't have the pricing information, it isn't the end of the world. ::No worries.  The video could be used to guess at some of the merchandise, and the 2009 set did have an image in the article as well.  I did find that this (translated version) still works, the German link I believe.  Just limited information.  Pokévault might have a few of the items as well.  CycloneGU (talk) 17:42, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
Oh Nate
You beautiful and poetic land mermaid, tell me what you think of User:Charlie/Template:GB2 Decks‎ and then hit me up with how you want the GB2 deck pages to look like and all that stuff because I already have like two in my userspace that I made an attempt at. :I think this would be fine for now. We may end up merging a few of these decks into the people who own them just to cut down on the amount of space things are taking up/make it easier to find info, but for now I'd like to see a page for each of them. I would like to confirm translations, but not having the game, I'm not entirely able to do that at this moment. Feel free to create things in the mainspace. == Pokémon BREAK ==
Hi Nate. Unless you or someone else is working on updating everything for Pokémon BREAK, I'm going to go ahead and make a start tonight. My only initial concerns are the article intro and how we present the orientation of the card image. For example, would Zoroark (Japanese: ゾロアーク Zoroark) is a Darkness BREAK Evolution Pokémon card. suffice? And, should we present the card image rotated 90 degrees, or leave it horizontal? Thanks. <span style="color:#0066FF">~~</span><span style="color:#00CCFF">nuva</span><span style="color:#0066FF">-</span><span style="color:#0099FF">kal</span> 13:29, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
:That opener is good, but the title of the card would be ZoroarkBREAK (Japanese: ゾロアークBREAK ZoroarkBREAK), no?. We've been having the image as horizontal so far. I've been avoiding updating the infobox for it for now (since I don't entirely have the time/energy to do more than just minor fixes to things right now), but I imagine we'll try and make the image for BREAKS appear a bit larger than they would as horizontal cards. The infobox needs a new Evolution Stage template, but in order to do that, I was pretty much going to base most things with a mix between LEGEND and EX. I wasn't going to be able to do any of this until next week, so please go ahead if you can MaverickNate 14:41, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
::For the two decks, I opted, at least on the archives, to leave BREAK out of the parenthetical on the 10 card pages. We don't know how English is going to stylize BREAK Pokémon yet, so I wanted to avoid that situation altogether. :::Well, that's Blue Shock made. Looks okay, sort of bland, but that's to be expected for these cards I guess... <span style="color:#0066FF">~~</span><span style="color:#00CCFF">nuva</span><span style="color:#0066FF">-</span><span style="color:#0099FF">kal</span> 20:18, 12 August 2015 (UTC)

Translations
Surely you meant to say おじさん and not おねいさん? And translations are meant to be accurate and sensible as opposed to inter-article consistent. "exchange man" sounds awkward, especially when the word exchanger exists. SatoMew2 (talk) 18:07, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
:I know what I said and I meant exactly what I said. In regards to the card game, we work very hard to keep translations as consistent as possible between runs of similar words being used in similar ways. On Bulbapedia, the other instances of おじさん are all treated as a separate word, most often "Man", described by whatever descriptor is necessary. This is further supported by instances of おねいさん, which are all consistently treated as a separate word, "Lady", described by the necessary descriptors. I didn't have enough room in the edit summary to mention both, so I just jumped to my final thought.
