I have a fairly radical proposal to suggest: [[User:Pumpkinking0192/Shuffle history proposal]]. Basically, for all updates that 3DS and Mobile share (which is almost all of them, nowadays), it makes more sense to me to just list them once instead of duplicating them. This will require a fairly heavy amount of work that I'm willing to do, but I wanted to get a yes or no first before I go to that effort.

While I'm going through making those changes, I would also aim to standardize the formatting of entries better, correct spelling and grammar, and (shudder) attempt to link every event to the proper sections on, for example, [[Special Stages]] or [[Escalation Battle]]. (Now that I think about it, are you planning to split off Daily Pokemon, Safari, or Great Challenge into their own articles like Escalation Battle and Competitive Stage? :I've recently been thinking about this as well. The only problem is that some updates do add unique things on the Mobile version (not sure about 3DS), and there might still be enough different between them to warrant keeping them separated. An idea that came to my mind was putting tables next to each other (see for instance places with TCG decklists next to each other, such as some of the battle decks or in-game NPC decks I've listed next to each other on the NPC pages), but with the amount of prose inside individual cells, I wonder if converting to complete text makes more sense, too.

== Solving the mystery of Sam's Practice Deck... ==
Hoo, boy... where do I begin with this, Cyclone? See, a year or two ago, I had this odd fascination to find out what exactly the NPCs' decks were composed of, y'see. Of course, there's no way I did that all on my own with mere guesswork. What I did was an English translated ROM of Pokémon Card GB2, played that with a VBA (VisualBoy Advance Emulator), looked at the memory of the ROM with a built-in memory viewer, had some help from the Data Crystal pages in finding the offsets of what is in an opponent's deck, that kind of stuff, translated the hexes to the cards (e.g. Hex 011 is for [[Dark Ivysaur (Best of Game 6)|Dark Ivysaur]], and that's how I know what Sam contained in his deck.
You're the first person to ask me about how I got my info in the technical details...
If you'd like to try this out for yourself, this page will help you:
http://datacrystal.romhacking.net/wiki/Pok%C3%A9mon_Trading_Card_Game_2
With kind regards,

:Thank you for replying!  I did today also find a thread at romhacking.net and am going to ask someone who hacked the original ROM for help as well, but also located the RAM map and ROM map from the link you provided, so this might be insanely useful.  I'm going to use my partial decklists and attempt to confirm the Rock Club NPC decks in the English translation (all four, including Gene's, which we somewhat have), then I'll use the Japanese one as well and make sure we have the properly translated names for our use as well.  I mean, the names I have are "Stylish Fossil Deck", "Important Truth Deck", "Rolling Stone Deck", and "Rocky Summit Deck", but the last (Geme's) I already know to be wrong because that's the [[Even 3 Years on a Rock Deck (TCG)|Even 3 Years on a Rock Deck]].  Going to be a massive task going after over 100 decks. =)  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 18:24, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
== Alola Shuffle ==
For Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, should the location listing for each individual Pokémon species pages be Generation VI or Generation VII spin-off games? I just realized none of the recent released Pokémon included them in the side game section. == Pokémon with Raise Max Level eligibility ==
Hi. Do you know how are the Attack Power for Pokémon that have Raise Max Level eligibility counted when they exceed the standard Level 10 Attack Power? Or do they differ from Pokémon to Pokémon? I know from Level 1 to Level 10, the Attack Power increase by 2 per level up. What about after 11 onwards? I'm trying to add the Attack Power who recently gained the eligibility to use the Raise Max Level for. Thanks. — '''[[User:Ruixiang95|<span style="color:#1E90FF;">Ruixiang</span>]][[User talk:Ruixiang95|<span style="color:#4B0082;">95</span>]]''' 18:38, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
:If I understand your question correctly, I would presume you are talking about the table located [[List of Pokémon by Pokémon Shuffle list number#Attack power table|here]]. If I misunderstand, please clarify so I might be able to better understand. I've always questioned if that's a good place for that table, however, or whether it should go right on the Shuffle page. I think we need it there because all Pokémon starting attack power is in that location.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 19:49, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

== The Oddish/Paras count... ==
I don't mean to start a quarrel over this, but this is in regards to [[Aaron's Step 2 Deck]]. You say there are 4 Lv. 8 Oddish cards, however I'm afraid I have proof to the contrary, in which there are only three of them. This is a snapshot from my VBA emulator, in the memory editor... starting at the foe's configuration, hexadecimal C480.
http://i.imgur.com/gtffx6b.png
Turn your attention to the three highlighted 0034's, please. This is how I've gathered that there are only ''three'' Oddish cards, not four. As for the Paras cards, the above proof applies: there are ''three'' 003A's, which are Lv. 8 Paras cards in hexadecimal. Do you have anything that can convince me there are indeed 4 Oddish and 2 Paras rather than 3 Oddish and 3 Paras? Because, what this data tells me contradicts what your tally says. I also have further evidence by another website that can confirm what I've shown you...
http://www.imasaragame.com/pokemoncard/2/data/24b.html
So yeah... think you can explain to me what's going on here? Why am I getting a different counting from yours?
I'd also like to point out that it doesn't matter if there are 4 Oddish & 2 Paras or 3 Paras and 3 Oddish; the deck total equals 60 when added up.[[User:IM-T-MAN2|IM-T-MAN2]] ([[User talk:IM-T-MAN2|talk]]) 06:40, 20 August 2017 (UTC)
:That's what I like to call an "oops". =) When I was typing in the numbers, I think what happened is I accidentally typed 0034 instead of 003A in one spot in the data entry. A crucial error because both cards are in the deck, and it would explain why I only had two Paras in the deck. I actually went to do the count again and found myself making the same mistake, this time using a complete different card, which I realized doing a find/replace and comparing with what you pointed out. I now confirm it was correct as you originally had it for this one. I'm so glad the others are more nicely organized (and numerically in most cases) as, if they were all crazy like this one, it might have led to more errors on the part of both of us, so I'm happy they aren't all badly mixed up. =)
:Also, don't think it's a quarrel at all! If I make a mistake, I appreciate the error being pointed out to me. When the Rumble World data was my focus, I left a few unintended errors in my data, and the beauty of a Wiki is that errors found can be quickly corrected without having to ask staff to do it. Sometimes we can quickly verify our own errors, as well. So feel free to follow up behind my work and verify it's correct; this includes the deck data currently on my userpages, too. Go ahead and edit something that's wrong and I'll double-check it before doing anything with it so that the correct one gets posted.
:Also, I am familiar with the Japanese site. There are actually errors there, as well. See for instance http://www.imasaragame.com/pokemoncard/2/data/2a.html ('''You Can Do It Machop! Deck'''). They don't list a Professor Oak in the deck. They instead added an extra Bill. So again, errors happen, all we have to do is make sure we're using the right info, and check each other on it. It helps ensure everything is correct in the end.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 15:40, 20 August 2017 (UTC)
::Thanks for being a good sport about it, eh? By the by, I was wondering... isn't there any easier way to link the appropriate card that a deck describes with the correct picture of course, like say Aaron's Step 2 Deck required that specific Lv. 8 Oddish? I mean, having to look through the TCG card list for a specific version of Pokémon card can be kinda tedious. Then again, that might be just me being lazy.
::Also, I might look over the Practice Decks again if I feel like it. [[User:IM-T-MAN2|IM-T-MAN2]] ([[User talk:IM-T-MAN2|talk]]) 07:19, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
:::It's nothing to do with being a good sport, it's jut the practice of being an editor. If something is presented to counter something that you believe is correct, you take the steps to find out which version of events is true. That's it. Nothing to do with sportsmanship. LOL
:::The best way to check a card is using the TCG card list. As you are no doubt aware, each specific card has a hex value that indicates that card. Did I ever show you my spreadsheet? I have assigned the hex numbers to every card after extensive research and with the help of another site (which listed some cards wrong, something I've fixed), though I've now converted it into a card collection for my own game with the addition of a "Qty" column. Once I've played GB1 I might tinker with creating a game card list for the site, but we'll see about that in the future as there is other work to do for the games first. Whether this ever happens or not, it makes it a piece of cake to sort out the hex lists.
:::Feel free to look over the practice decks again if you wish to. Those are extremely jumbled as well, so they're painful to organize like Aaron's decks were. The odds of a mistake there are also there. If you have a chance, also go ahead and grab in-game character pictures; I'm going to start doing that once I've updated the Lightning Club and Psychic Club people, but if you can take screenshots of club members and masters mid-game (as well as their happy and sad reactions, which coincidentally are their win and loss sprites) and keep them organized, that is the next thing I'm working on before moving to the forts. I'll have to move to the completed save I have to help with that as not all are available once you access GR Island (and I'll have to use a save state to access "GR X").  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 14:43, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
::::Hey, I may have found this menu in-game that allows one to view the animations of attacks and I'm assuming sprites and other stuff in-game, such as the opponents' happy/sad faces. I'll send you some snapshots of sprites... like this of GR1:

And while some, such as [[Glalie (Pokémon)#Side game data|Glalie]] and [[Rayquaza (Pokémon)#Side game data|Rayquaza]], do not? — '''[[User:Ruixiang95|<span style="color:#1E90FF;">Ruixiang</span>]][[User talk:Ruixiang95|<span style="color:#4B0082;">95</span>]]''' 07:37, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
:It may simply be that some have not been uploaded yet. I might have to review and see what's missing. I think the second version of Diancie in the previous ZIP was not, in fact, Shiny (it was in the Shiny Slot), so that might be why it's missing, if it still is. Similarly, Mewtwo might have been skipped as well. I'm busy this afternoon but will take a quick peek before going and spend more time on it this evening if needed. I'll update the week's Great Dailies since I have that information now, however.
:BTW, I know there are other Pikachu not uploaded yet (there's still a ton of them) because we have to wait on names for them. So this problem will happen again with certain Pikachu. The ones dressed as Pokémon were no problem, but the other ones will be interesting.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 14:30, 22 August 2017 (UTC)

::Hello. I am one of the people who helped get all of the models from Pokémon Sun and Moon. Are you talking about the Pokémon models that were uploaded a few months ago? The Pokémon models were obtained from in-game screenshots of them in the Pokédex. The models for the Pokémon that aren't in Alola Dex were obtained by swapping around the files in the game. The background was then removed in Photoshop and any transparency (like the wings for some Pokémon) was re-added to any models that needed it. == Individual Pokémon in Shuffle weekly cycle ==
May I know how do we plan to include where/when the Pokémon appears in the "Game location: In side games" section of each individual Pokémon for Pokémon Shuffle? I doubt we need to include the UX Stages since it's the same as the initial Main Stages. Here are a few suggestions for Special Stages:
::Daily, Special Daily, Safari etc. (With form differences):
*Event: ''{{DL|Daily Pokémon|Special Daily Pokémon (first release)|Special Daily Pokémon}}'' <small>(Winking; First release) <sup>(Prior to February 13, 2018)</sup></small><br>Event: ''{{DL|Daily Pokémon|Special Daily Pokémon}}'' <small>(Winking; Week 4 & 16) <sup>(From February 13, 2018 onward)</sup></small>
*Event: ''{{DL|Daily Pokémon|Special Daily Pokémon (first release)|Special Daily Pokémon}}'' <small>(Winking; First release)</small>{{tt|*|Prior to February 13, 2018}}<br>Event: ''{{DL|Daily Pokémon|Special Daily Pokémon}}'' <small>(Winking; Week 4 & 16)</small>{{tt|*|From February 13, 2018 onward}}
*Event: ''{{DL|Daily Pokémon|Special Daily Pokémon (first release)|Special Daily Pokémon}}'' <small>(Winking; First release — Prior to February 13, 2018)</small><br>Event: ''{{DL|Daily Pokémon|Special Daily Pokémon}}'' <small>(Winking; Week 4 & 16 — From February 13, 2018 onward)</small>
::Daily, Special Daily, Safari etc. (Without form differences):
*Event: ''[[Daily Pokémon#The Daily Pokémon (#6)|The Daily Pokémon (#6)]]'' <sup>(Prior to February 13, 2018)</sup>
*Event: ''[[Daily Pokémon|The Daily Pokémon (Week 7 & 19)]]'' <sup>(From February 13, 2018 onward)</sup>
::Great, Ultra, Special Challenges etc.
*Event: ''[[Great Challenge|Mimikyu Appears]]'' <sup>(Prior to February 13, 2018)</sup><br>Event: ''[[Great Challenge|Mimikyu Appears]]'' <small>(Week 6)</small> <sup>(From February 13, 2018 onward</sup>
Or simply just
*Event: ''[[Great Challenge|Mimikyu Appears]]'' <small>(Week 6)</small>
Or do not add anything until how Pokémon Shuffle will display from now onward is decided? Thanks — '''[[User:Ruixiang95|<span style="color:#1E90FF;">Ruixiang</span>]][[User talk:Ruixiang95|<span style="color:#4B0082;">95</span>]]''' 13:02, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
:I'm a bit busy today and tomorrow, but I can discuss this this morning before I become unavailable until at least this evening. I've been very slow in figuring out how I want to convert the pages over to the weekly cycles, where I believe all Pokémon are now available in some way over a 24 week cycle (or Halloween/Christmas) if not already in the main stages. However, if the ones you list are ones that are not properly listed in the prior format, then they should be fixed as we will in some way be retaining this information when the page is either moved or split into various stage types over the three years.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 13:06, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
::OK, I just reread your comments after I quickly replied before. I see now that you are referring to how it would appear on a Pokémon's page. This is going to take a little more thought on my part as I am not 100% sure how I want to handle these yet. We might remove special stage info that is related to past events and just revert to a weekly cycle, perhaps linking to the legacy special stages pages for additional info. This is something I had not considered and will be worth looking into to determine the appropriate solution.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 14:45, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
:::Alright, I guess I'll just leave it be for the time being. But I think removing info related to past events seem like a great idea to me since the previous format isn't applicable any more. However, by referring to "week", people will still wonder when each week-cycle will occur, and it will troublesome to lay them out. I was just wondering if you have ever discuss this topic with [[User:MisterE13|MisterE13]] since I saw that he created a Shuffle schedule on his userpage. — '''[[User:Ruixiang95|<span style="color:#1E90FF;">Ruixiang</span>]][[User talk:Ruixiang95|<span style="color:#4B0082;">95</span>]]''' 15:23, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
::::That is a good idea if he's already working on something. I may initiate discussions on how such a schedule can be done. I have tthought of two listing formats: a) a week-by-week listing showing events for each week, or b) a listing of each event type (2 Hearts, One Chance a Day, etc.) showing a full listing of events for each type. The first format might be better because then a week's listing is all together and we can even include a box on the page stating what the current week is, which can auto-update with the date and time.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 15:27, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
:::::I also prefer the first option. People will have a much clearer view on which Pokémon are available on the current week at a glance, instead of having to scroll through each pages/sections. The second option seems to be what we have been doing previously, which to be honest, I find it hard to navigate through. But then again, your comments above doesn't seem to be talking about the Game locations on each individual Pokémon pages. == Would like to edit an empty page. ==
Hi there. I'm pretty new to Bulbapedia but would like to make an edit to this page: [[Colosseum Battle (Colosseum)]], but I do not have permission to do so. My plan for the page is to just compile a bullet-list of links to the relevant battle tournaments. Let me know if this is possible or if I'm talking to the wrong person. I have asked MisterE about this but it's been a few weeks and have not gotten a response yet. Thanks! [[User:Wheaties|Wheaties]] ([[User talk:Wheaties|talk]]) 14:10, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
:I am attempting to briefly research the use of the empty page as the article linking it was created in January. I would have thought it could fall under the main page. With that said, the reason you are having trouble is because the page is an empty page and I believe you have to be an [[Bulbapedia_talk:Autoconfirmed_users|auto-confirmed user]] to be able to create empty pages. This also would be tied to talk page usage since, naturally, we try not to focus too much on talk page space unless we're creating an article in said space and a user is permitted to edit that page for article preparation. This might be a case where we can allow that, but I want to verify that the page is for sure needed first. If we do use it, perhaps I can create it there and you can edit it out of the main space that way so we can confirm it looks good before moving it in. I'll post further here whatever we do as soon as I have confirmation of our move on this.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 16:08, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
::Will echo this on your talk page, but the page is now created.  Edit away. =)  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 22:56, 7 April 2019 (UTC)

== TCG GB2 Project ==
Hello CycloneGU, I don't know if you've noticed my work on GB2 articles. With {{u|Nescientist}}, I created a lot of decks' articles and revamped most of the GB-related pages. If you want to take a look, see here: {{u|Laspandrea/GB2}}. Now, I would like to update the [[Template:GB2 Decks]] with this new version {{u|Laspandrea/GB2#New GB2 Decks template based on Charlie's one with new translation based on CycloneGU's one}}. What should I do now?  Can I update the current [[Template:GB2 Decks]] with the new template as if it was a normal article or what? Also, I've created a new navigation template in my userspace about Fort Leader {{u|Laspandrea/Template:Fort Leader}} (I've created a new page about Fort Leader as well, but I've not uploaded it yet). I read in the template policy that, before it could be moved in the mainspace, a staff member should approve that. == Info on the new signature move ==
[spoiler]A small bit of info i gathered watching a streamer, this move has 130 base power, 5 pp (which is 8 max) and 100% accuracy. I cannot confirm at this time if the same applies to astral barrage. I edited the page for the move, but Calyrex's page seems to be edit locked so i thought i'd leave this info on a admin's page so it can be added later[/spoilers]

:To be honest I was finishing a school program when Sword and Shield came out and have yet to buy the games for financial reasons, so I haven't even looked yet.  I will look at the information and edit appropriately.  Do you have the video you watched that shows the information?  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 09:14, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
== Mamoswine's gender ==
Hey Cyclone, I would to ask about something. Remember Dawn's Mamoswine? I want to confirm that shes a female. I know why because when she was a Piloswine, her tusks are shorter than a male's. Also, I know Dawn referred to her as it during her first contest, but I want to tell you that it was when she was only a Swinub, and Dawn could not have known until she evolved. That is when Mamoswine gained her tusks. What do you think about this issue? {{unsigned|AwesomeEden9999}}
:While your information compels me to agree with you, this is considered a minor difference and falls under our [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbapedia:Speculation_policy Speculation Policy], which states: The gender of an individual Pokémon in the anime is confirmed via explicit, verbal confirmation by a character; via the use of Attract or Cute Charm; or from clear visual gender differences."  It further states: "Pokémon with very minor gender differences should not be assigned a gender based on visual differences."  Therefore, while I can agree based on a visual inspection, there are cases where we still have not been able to confirm gender or where a wrong gender might have been inferred in the past, and as a result, we cannot explicitly confirm.  It is also possible that the people working on the anime may not necessarily be aware of the game logic and just drew the tusks as they wanted to draw them.
:If we have missed anything that falls under that policy as a way to confirm gender, feel free to point it out and it can be considered.  Good eye, though!  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 16:22, 16 January 2021 (UTC)

== Infobox game, addition of Singapore ==
Hey CycloneGU, could I request the addition of Singapore in this infobox?
https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Template:Infobox_game
Looking to add |release_date_sg=November 17, 2021
for the Pokémon Ga-Olé arcade game page.
[[User:TehTarik|<span style="font-family:Segoe UI">TehTarik</span>]]<sup>[[User talk:TehTarik|<span style="font-family:Arial Sans">Talk here</span>]]</sup> 03:36, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
:At the moment, we do not cover Singapore release dates in the infobox as it's not considered a primary market for that purpose.  However, a possible option might exist on the [[Pokémon in Singapore]] page, though I do not know if this would be considered as a "major event".  It would also be odd to only have this individual release date.  Are you able to reliably source release dates for much of the franchise in Singapore?  If so, it might be something we can add to the page.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 08:09, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
Hey CycloneGU, understood. Regarding the date, it was retrieved from the following website: https://world.pokemongaole.com/sg/information/article/12750 It appears to be 18th instead of 17th, my bad!
As for other dates, there are official sources for release dates in Singapore via the respective Pokémon Arcade websites: http://world.pokemontretta.com/sg/ https://world.pokemongaole.com/sg/
and official portals: https://sg.portal-pokemon.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Pokemon.official.Singapore
I would say they act as a good source of release dates for Singapore in terms of items only released in our market. The main games released by Pokémon still follow the global release date.[[User:TehTarik|TehTarik]] ([[User talk:TehTarik|talk]]) 16:07, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
:It looks like these are indeed official sites.  I don't see a problem with including release dates as a new section on the [[Pokémon in Singapore]] page.  We can work on formatting later, unless you have familiarity with tables and want to suggest a template to use here first (might be a good idea in fact).  Though release dates for major games are identical in some cases, I don't see an issue with covering the series as far as you can get information.  The main thing is we have it sorted by release date, I feel.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 16:52, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
Long time CycloneGU! Been busy with stuff, but yes, I will see what I can do, keep you posted.
Alright, here's my idea for a table, was looking at how the games were organised in a gallery tag and thought that showing release dates in that manner on the page itself would be informative. This can apply to anything other than games too if required. Feel free to make your own changes and I await your update.
