Teru-sama can literally be translated from Japanese as "Lord Sunshine", coming from the word ''Teru'' (''Sunshine'' or ''to Shine'') and the suffix ''-sama'' (an honorific that shows extreme respect and is most often translated as "lord" or "master").

Teru-sama IDs 0x46, 0x73, 0x74, and 0x81 are items in Crystal and {{g|Stadium 2}}. They are respectively the [[Clear Bell]], [[GS Ball]], [[Blue Card]], and [[Egg Ticket]]. Save for 0x81, these Teru-sama were renamed in Korean Gold and Silver to match the names of the corresponding items in Crystal.


*Teru-sama may also be a misspelling of "Teru-Tama", which would mean "Sunshine Ball", which may have been a prototype name for the [[GS Ball]].
Teru-sama IDs 0x06 and 0x38 are respectively the [[Town Map]] and [[Poké Flute]] from Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow and they can be enabled by hacking in the "USE" option. The Town Map is faulty and causes bugs; the Poké Flute still works, although the audio only plays if used on a {{status|sleep}}ing {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} outside of {{pkmn|battle}}.
