:I don't think so. She already won three ribbons when she was introduced, the same number Dawn had at the time, and moved on to compete in the Grand Festival not too long afterwards. Not to mention she put up a pretty tough fight each time she faced off against Dawn. Besides, lots of Trainers and Coordinators make similar mistakes, no matter how many battles they've fought or badges/ribbons they've won.
