I won't change this right off, but I'm fairly sure this is untrue, at least in Generation IV... I brought a Wobbuffet over to Platinum in hopes of catching Mesprit easily, and twice it ran as soon as Wobbuffet was switched out. :It's not. I think they meant the other way around. Let's say in a Trainer battle, Mesprit faints and another Pokémon is sent out. That Pokémon is still under the effect of {{a|Shadow Tag}}. == Triple battles ==

I was doing triple battles in the Battle Maison earlier using a Wobbuffet with Shadow Tag on the left. I tricked a Choice Scarf onto a Meganium which was the Pokemon furthest to my right and the opponent was still able to switch it out despite my Wobbuffet. They didn't have a Pokemon with Shadow Tag so I was confused when the Meganium was recalled.
