::If Mega Evolution is really not present in generation VIII (I don't have Sword and Shield yet, so I haven't checked it myself), it should be explicitly said so in this page, and probably other related pages. Other than the lack of mention of gen VIII in Mega Evolution-related pages, I couldn't find any indication here on Bulbapedia that gen VIII doesn't have Mega Evolution.
