Pokémon: Advanced Battle is the eighth season of the English-dubbed Pokémon television series. It is comprised of episodes 93-145 of the original Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation series. This season showcases the end of the adventures of Ash, May, Brock and Max in Hoenn, and the beginning of their adventures on Ash's second avanture through Kanto; from Lilycove City to Saffron City.
It originally aired in the United States as part of the 2005-2006 Kids' WB! Saturday morning line-up. The season began with Clamperl Of Wisdom, which originally aired on September 17, 2005, and ended with Pasta La Vista, which originally aired on July 8, 2006.
It is preceded by Pokémon: Advanced Challenge and succeeded by Pokémon: Battle Frontier. It should be noted that the concept of seasons does not exist in Japan. An invention of the dub, a season is the only way to differentiate one story arc, such as Advanced Battle, from any other in the Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation series.
