Mr. Briney: Difference between revisions

Outside of Rusturf Tunnel, he will ask the {{player}} to recover his {{p|Wingull}}, [[Peeko]], from a {{tc|Team Magma Grunt}}{{sup/3|R}}{{sup/6|OR}}/{{tc|Team Aqua Grunt}}{{sup/3|S}}{{sup/3|E}}{{sup/6|AS}} who has kidnapped it. Once Peeko is rescued and returned to Mr. Briney, he will offer to ferry the player in his boat among [[Petalburg City]], [[Dewford Town]], and [[Slateport City]] until they gain the {{badge|Balance}} from [[Norman|their father]], after which he promptly disappears from all three areas.

He first appeared in ''[[AG018|On a Wingull and a Prayer!]]'' fishing off the pier. {{an|May}} spotted him doing so and asked him for a way to get to [[Dewford Town]] since {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} were lost. [[Peeko]] flies down to him and Mr. Briney revealed to her that the only person Peeko likes is him. This changed when May brought out Pokémon food. Mr. Briney explained to May about his time as a sailor, only for May to not understand it. Later, Mr. Briney arrived at his house and got confronted by a member of [[Team Aqua]], the same one responsible for stealing from the [[Devon Corporation]] the [[AG017|episode before]]. The grunt captured Peeko in a cage and wanted the boat that Mr. Briney owned. With no other choice, the two of them were about to go on board but the group's interference prevented them from doing so. Despite the group's arrival, the grunt still got on board with Peeko. Luckily, Mr. Briney still had another boat and used it to get his Wingull back. Mr. Brunet was able to retrieve Peeko and as a way of thanking the group, Mr. Briney gave them a ride to [[Dewford Town]] on his boat.

In the {{chap|FireRed & LeafGreen}}, Mr. Briney is called by his old friend, [[Ultima]], after she obtained the [[Old Sea Map]] that would allow Briney to find [[Faraway Island]]. Despite this, Briney informs Ultima that he managed to reach Faraway Island on his own. Mr. Briney reveals that also saw the Mythical Pokémon, {{p|Mew}}, but it flew away from him and his crew to the Kanto region.

In the {{chap|Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire}}, Mr. Briney is revealed to be old friends with [[Mr. Stone]] and [[Drake]]. He assists Mr. Stone and {{Steven}} by providing them with sea transportation to help prevent a giant meteoroid from crashing into the Hoenn region. He takes Steven, Mr. Stone, {{adv|Sapphire}}, {{adv|Emerald}}, Drake, and Ultima to [[Sea Mauville]], where they can use a special [[ultimate weapon|machine]] known as the Absorber to power a dimensional shifter that will help stop the meteoroid. When the area is attacked by [[Zinnia]], Mr. Briney helps fend of her small army of Team Aqua and Magma Grunts from destroying the shifter.

After Ruby arrived and got Zinnia to leave, he asks Drake to take him to a place where he can get information on the Legendary Pokémon {{p|Rayquaza}}. Drake agrees and has Mr. Briney take everyone to [[Meteor Falls]].
