Message of the Wind (Japanese: 風のメッセージ Kaze no Message, Kaze no messēji exact) is the second ending theme of the Diamond & Pearl series. It debuted in DP062, replacing the Winter version of By Your Side ~Hikari's Theme~‎.

Ending animation: DP ED 2

The words "Pokémon" in English flash by in different colors of the rainbow. The camera scrolls by the characters and their Pokémon, first Ash's, then Dawn's, then Brock's. Ash throws a PokéBall, then Brock, then Dawn in a blue dress. The camera switches to Ash and Pikachu under a cherry blossom tree with some of the flowers falling off the tree and floating in the wind. Pikachu jumps on Ash he picks Pikachu up. The two share a special moment. Zoey and Kenny are shown in front of the Staircase of Light. As the camera scrolls upward, Piplup is shown on a step, and then Dawn sits on the top step in a puffy yellow dress with pink ribbons. The gets a close up, and her hair and the ribbons are flowing in the wind. Ash is shown in a Japanese cheer squad outfit, with Pikachu in a kimono holding fans and Buizel with a white strand of cloth tied around it's head. Dawn, Piplup, and Buneary are shown in the pink cheerleading outfits from Ash's first Sinnoh gym battle against Roark. The camera flips it's view to show a crowd of Nurse Joy's and Brock running to then with a bouquet of roses. Brock gets a close up, his eyes as hearts. Croagunk appears from behind and uses Poison Jab on him. Brock is in pain. Jessie as Jessilina flies over a city at night on a broomstick, holding a lollipop that must be magical, because she uses it like a wand and casts it at James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet and turns them into Chibi verions of themselves. A much bigger Chibi Jessilina screams in their faces, scaring them away. Meanwhile, Ash, Brock, and Dawn are chasing a group of Butterfree in the sunset. The

Trivia

  • The staircase of light was also featured in Aim to be a Pokémon Master (Whiteberry Version) where Ash and Pikachu are running up to a beaten up stadium.
  • All the episodes that have used this ending so far, at the head of the episode, does not feature clips of events that happen later in the episode.
