'''Makuhita Dojo''' (Japanese: '''マクノシタくんれんじょ''' ''{{tt|Makunoshita|Makuhita}} Training Center'') is a training facility in [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team]]. It is located in the outskirts of [[Pokémon Square]]. There are 21 [[Mystery Dungeon#Training mazes|mazes]] preset in the dojo, each only three floors deep. The first floor of all the mazes have no special features, the second floor have limited visibility and water exept [[#Fire Maze|Fire Maze]] which have lava and [[#Rock Maze|Rock-]] and [[#Steel Maze|Steel Maze]] which doesn't have lava or water. The {{player}} has to play through the main storyline in order to unlock all 21 mazes.

The Pokémon encountered in Makuhita Dojo cannot be recruited in any of the mazes. Boss Pokémon in the Team mazes may be recruited, however. The boss Pokémon may only be recruitable if the player is level 90+ and wearing a {{DL|Recruitment|Friend Bow}}, with the exception of the {{p|Nuzleaf}} in the [[#Team Shifty|Team Shifty]] maze and the {{p|Graveler}} in the [[#Team Rumblerock|Team Rumblerock]] maze, which can be recruited if the player is either level 90 or level 50 with a Friend Bow. There is no chance of finding a [[Monster House]], a [[Kecleon Shop|shop]], or an item of any sort in this dungeon. {{a|Pickup}} still works, however.

Type-themed mazes will have their type Gummi, while team mazes will have an Apple. Heal and Cheri appear in mazes from Normal to Poison. The other items are shared.

Team Shifty is a Normal-rank rescue team consisting of its leader {{p|Shiftry}} and two {{p|Nuzleaf}}. The trio were known to cause some trouble at the beginning of the game. Later on, Shiftry assembled Pokémon in [[Pokémon Square]] to recruit a team to attempt to stop {{p|Groudon}} in the [[Magma Cavern]]. The volunteers were leaders of other rescue teams: {{p|Blastoise}} from Team Hydro, {{p|Octillery}} from Team Constrictor, and {{p|Golem}} from Team Rumblerock.

Team Hydro is a Bronze-rank rescue team consisting of all of the fully evolved {{type|Water}} [[starter Pokémon]] as of [[Generation III]]: its leader {{p|Blastoise}} as well as {{p|Feraligatr}} and {{p|Swampert}}. Blastoise stepped up to volunteer his services in an attempt to stop {{p|Groudon}} in the [[Magma Cavern]].

==Rewards==

Upon clearing each of the type-based mazes available within the main storyline (including the Ghost Maze) at least once, the player will receive a {{p|Bonsly}} statue to place outside their rescue team base.

Upon clearing each of the type-based mazes, including the Ghost Maze, at least once, the player will receive a Ginseng.

The player will also receive a Ginseng the first time he or she clears Rescue Team-based maze.

* All of the training dungeons share the same theme song with {{OBP|Rock Path|Red and Blue Rescue Team}}, [[Snow Path]], and [[Joyous Tower]].
