Like its counterpart, Aqua Energy, its use is specific to the villainous team it is named for. Card text Magma Energy can only be attached to a Pokémon with Team Magma in its name. Magma Energy provides and Energy but provides 2 Energy at a time. (Doesn't count as a basic Energy card when not in play and has no other effect than providing Energy.) At the end of your turn, discard Magma Energy. Trivia Along with Aqua Energy and Dark Metal Energy, it is one of the only dual-typed Energy cards. Origin This Energy card is based on the type of Groudon, the Pokémon that Team Magma is after.
