Hitmonchan debuted in ''[[EP029|The Punchy Pokémon]]'', under the ownership of {{OBP|Anthony|EP029}}. He was entered in the [[P1 Grand Prix]], but he ended up losing to a Hitmonlee stolen by {{TRT}} because the match was sabotaged.
