Corey tried to defeat Mewtwo's clone Venusaur using Bruteroot, his own {{p|Venusaur}}; however, Mewtwo's Venusaur easily defeated Bruteroot with a {{m|Vine Whip}}, sending it flying. He also attempted to use his {{p|Rhyhorn}} against Mewtwo.
