Make sure that you talk to Buck and his grandfather, heal your Pokemon and buy at least 40 Dusk Balls before proceeding!
It should be easier to get to the mountain this time around since you know where you're going. Traverse the Routes, enter the volcano, get through the first room as usual, and enter the second. Since you aren't with anyone, you're free to use Rock Climb now to get all the items! You should've battled all of the Trainers with Buck the first time you were here.

Once you get to the back of the cave and enter the room where the Magma Stone was, Buck is nowhere to be seen. However, a Pokemon is standing in front of you. That is the legendary Pokemon Heatran, and it looks angry! To prevent the volcano from erupting, you'll need to catch this Legend!
Go through Routes 226-227 again.

Go through the room.
2nd Room
Now that you're going through this room on your own, you're free to use Rock Climb now, so you should pick up all items in this room.

Buck is nowhere to be seen, but a Pokemon is standing in front of you. That is the legendary Pokemon Heatran. Heatran looks angry. It seems that everything's too late......

Wait, there is still 1 way to solve this and prevent the volcano from erupting. Guess what? You'll need to catch it. Another legendary Pokemon for you to catch!

When you're ready, talk to Heatran, and a battle will start. Heatran is a Fire/Steel-type Pokemon, and is at Level 70. It is doubly weak to Ground moves, so be careful if you're unleashing something like Earthquake. It has its signature move, Magma Storm, which you'll need to watch out for— it has 120 base power when it first hits, and will trap Pokémon hit by it for two to five turns of battle. Combined with Heatran's impressive Special Attack stat, this can be a real threat! Thankfully, it only has 70% accuracy and 5 PP.
When you're ready, talk to Heatran, and a battle will start. Heatran is a Fire/Steel-type Pokemon, and is at Level 70. Ground moves deal significant damage on it, so be careful if you're unleashing something like Earthquake or Earth Power. It has its signature move-- Magma Storm, which you'll need to watch out for— it has 120 base power when it first hits, and will trap Pokémon hit by it for two to five turns of battle. Combined with Heatran's impressive Sp. Atk stat, this can be a big threat! It only has 70% accuracy and 5 PP, but with the trapping effect, (no switching!) if your Pokemon are hit by this, it is almost done for.

Start off with moves that causes sleep or paralysis (Don't bother with freeze— it will instantly defrost with Fire-type moves. Heatran is also immune to being burned or poisoned). Follow up with Water or Fighting moves. Then, keep on damaging with weaker attacks until its HP bar is red. After that, start throwing Dusk Balls (as you're in a cave, Dusk Balls work best) until you successfully catch it.

This is a desert route. Similar to 111 in Hoenn, a sandstorm will be raging, reducing the visibility and affecting battles (Rock-, Ground-, and Steel-types are immune to sandstorms). Don't worry, though; you don't need any special items, unlike in Ruby and Sapphire Emerald. Instead, have your Bicycle ready again. Some places in this route can only be accessed by riding up muddy slopes or across logs on your bike.

You'll want to keep heading south to get to 229, but try to explore all over to get all of the items (a lot of which are rare or valuable) and fight all of the Trainers. Don't be afraid to heal often if you need to.
