'''Anthony''' (Japanese: '''トンペイ''' ''Tonpei'') was a [[Pokémon Coordinator]] who entered the [[Hoenn]] [[Grand Festival]].

He appeared in ''[[AG122|Deceit and Assist]]'' and ''[[AG123|Rhapsody in Drew]]''. {{Ash}} and his friends met him while he was on the beach looking for his Ribbons. They had been stolen by {{TRT}}, and he was worried that he wouldn't be able to enter the Grand Festival. With the help of [[Officer Jenny]], Ash and Anthony tracked down Team Rocket and retrieved his Ribbons just in time for the competition. It was revealed that he got the 52nd place in the first appeal round.

Anthony was able to get through the second appeal stage, but he lost in his second [[Double Battle]] against {{an|May}}. He promised that, despite the loss, he would train harder to become a top Coordinator.

After Team Rocket tried to steal Anthony's Ribbons, he had Swalot use a combination of {{m|Swallow}} and {{m|Spit Up}} to stop them in their tracks. After defeating Team Rocket, Swalot was used during the appeals round where its techniques had Anthony move on to the battle rounds. It was then used with his Pinsir in his second Double Battle against May where it used its mouth as a cannon to shoot Pinsir out.
