Synopsis

Continuing on the road to Hearthome City, the gang runs into Paul. Paul asks ash about blaze. ash says he dosn't count on blaze. later paul shows up and reveals that he obtained the relic badge. Ash challenges Paul to a battle. paul decides to do a one on one battle with Ash. Paul chooses honchkrow. Ash chooses turtwig. ash's turtwig evolves into grotle losing some of it's speed it loses to Honchkrow failing to dodge 2 aerial aces. later Torterra (Paul's) uses it's self as an example and battled Gliscor (ash's) and dosn't dodge and then comes in with a big attack. hten ash and grotle learn that they should do the same.

Cynthia wins her championship battle with Template:E4.
Paul is revealed to have obtained the Relic Badge.
Ash battles Paul.
- Turtwig loses to Honchkrow.
- During the battle, Ash's Turtwig evolves into Grotle.
Paul's Torterra teaches Grotle and Ash how to deal with its reduced Speed.
