AncientPower (Japanese: げんしのちから Ancient Power) is a Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation II that deals a small amount of damage. It has a 10% chance of raising every one of the user's stats by one level.

Trivia

  • AncientPower is learned by every fossil Pokémon and a large number of Legendary Pokémon.
  • Several Pokémon evolve when they know AncientPower (namely, Tangela into Tangrowth, Piloswine into Mamoswine, and Yanma into Yanmega). Incidently, Tangrowth resembles a shaggy caveman, Mamoswine is based off a wooly mammoth, and Yanmega looks like a giant insect from the prehistoric era. This signifies each ones "ancient" nature.
