The Sail Fossil (Japanese: ヒレのカセキ Fin Fossil) is a Fossil introduced in Generation VI that can be regenerated into Amaura. It is the counterpart of the Jaw Fossil.

A Sail Fossil in the anime

A Sail Fossil made a brief appearance in a flashback in Coming Back into the Cold!. It was discovered from a glacier by a group of researchers from the Ambrette Town Fossil Lab, and it was eventually revived into two Amaura, one of which later evolved into an Aurorus.
