Origins
Hey there. Please avoid using specific copyrighted characters in the origins section, unless you have a source confirming the inspiration. Names of real people should also be avoided as lawsuits have happened before. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:28, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
Dear ForceFire, Hi there! I appreciate you trying to contact me on the matter except I don't recall using any specific copyrighted characters in any of the pages you have edited. I've seen you say I've used the term xenomorph however I've only vaguely mentioned "Alien" and nothing more. So I'm confused with where you mention this is all haha. - unsigned comment from Taqqy (talk • contribs)
- Referencing the Alien franchise made it seem you were specifically comparing Necrozma and Eternatus with the Xenomorph. Though I think it'd be fine without the specific franchise mention, as Alien (while popular) isn't the only one with well known alien characters.--ForceFire 05:40, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
Dear ForceFire,
While that may be true. I find it odd that it was acceptable to mention Godzilla both in Eternatus and Baxcalibur's pages specifically then (emphasis on Godzilla and not Kaiju). And even from that it's odd you removed everything related to that. I can understand if this was another circumstance but the fact you said it in regards to pages that did exactly the same thing as I did makes me a bit confused is all. - unsigned comment from Taqqy (talk • contribs)
- I've removed the Godzilla reference on Eternatus's page, as that seemed irrelevant. As for Baxcalibur, that references Godzilla in the context of the year it came out (in comparison to Baxcalibur's evolution level), not in the context of Godzilla itself (this is the same case for Palafin and Superman, it's not referencing Superman himself but the year it came out). As another user said, you can't copyright a year.--ForceFire 05:53, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for acknowledging the inconsistency at least. Although please consider this in the future when questioning my attempted included messages is all.
One last part however is that I did question the removal of the non-Alien franchise related posts on Necrozma. The star and association with Psychic was something I found important for the concept was all.
Thank you for reading, Sincerely, Taq. Taqqy (talk) 05:57, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
