Anchor Shot inflicts damage and prevents foes from [[Escape|fleeing]] or [[Recall|switching out]] as long as the user remains in battle. {{a|Wimp Out}}, {{a|Emergency Exit}}, the {{DL|In-battle effect item|Red Card}}, the {{DL|In-battle effect item|Shed Shell}}, and the {{DL|In-battle effect item|Eject Button}} can bypass this effect.
