Pass through the break in the fence and head south. Check the bare spot to the west to get a {{DL|Shard|Green Shard}}, and continue east. Youngster Nicholas stands near a fork in the road; take the northern path first to get a {{evostone|Sun Stone}} and a hidden {{DL|Gem|Bug Gem}}. Head southeast to find {{TM|22|SolarBeam}}, then go west to track down a {{DL|Vitamin|Rare Candy}}. Surf across the pond to reach a {{DL|Vitamin|PP Max}}. Return to the road and head south. Talk with the Scientist, who asks to see your Habitat List. If you have seen all the local land-dwelling Pokémon, she rewards you with five {{ball|Nest}}s.

Fight School Kid Millie and follow the fence eastward to get a {{DL|Status ailment healing item|Full Heal}}. Head south to meet a Battle Girl, then east to find a {{DL|Vitamin|Protein}} on the railroad tracks. Keep going south to find a few big puddles. To the west is Ace Trainer Kelsey; to his north is a {{DL|Valuable item|Nugget}}, and to his southeast is an {{DL|Vitamin|HP Up}}. Check the largest puddle to find a hidden {{DL|Ether|Max Elixir}} and go east. Climb the stairway to get a {{DL|Vitamin|PP Max}} near Battle Girl Lee, then go north to reach the challenge rock. Have a Fighting Pokémon chip away at it to receive a {{DL|Valuable item|Stardust}} once per day. Go down the northern stairway to find a hidden {{DL|Gem|Fighting Gem}} near the ledge. Head back north to the road and turn east to reach [[Nacrene City]]. Step behind the fence to find an {{ball|Ultra}} before exploring the city.

Go east from the T-intersection to reach the grounds of a preschool. Step inside and talk to the woman in charge to have her heal your Pokémon. A {{p|Pansage}}, {{p|Pansear}}, and {{p|Panpour}} are playing with the children; according to a little girl, they were a gift from the former [[Cilan|Striaton]] [[Chili|Gym]] [[Cress|Leaders]]. Pick up the {{DL|Vitamin|Rare Candy}} in the back then head outside to the playground, where another {{DL|Vitamin|Rare Candy}} can be found in the sandbox.

Upon entering the grounds, the mysterious Pokémon appears!  {{p|Latios}}{{sup/5|B2}} / {{p|Latias}}{{sup/5|W2}} growls at you before quickly flying off to the east. Enter the gate to see it zip off to the west. Go back and {{m|Cut}} down the tree to enter the remains of the old factory, and it buzzes by again. Head west for a {{DL|Vitamin|Rare Candy}}, then grab {{TM|85|Dream Eater}} at the foot of the stairway. Atop the stairway, it passes by for a fourth time. Go southwest to reach an {{ball|Ultra}}, where the dragon stops to examine you for a moment. Finally, follow the walkway to its easternmost point, where the legendary Pokémon attacks!  Use a {{type|Dark}} Pokémon to avoid their only offensive move, but take care not to knock it out with a [[Same-type attack bonus|powered-up]] Dark move. {{m|Psycho Shift}} lets it bounce any status ailment back to its attacker, so be prepared.
