Plot
On his way to Olivine City, Gold gets lost in a misty forest. He encounters a wild Dugtrio, but before he can attack it, a girl appears and starts battling it with her Cyndaquil. She loses and the Dugtrio escapes. Afterwards, she introduces herself as Chris, a "Pokémon Adventurer".
As they are both lost, Gold sends has his Pidgeotto use Gust to clear the mist, revealing a cavern ahead.
