The Pocket Monsters Save Data Editing Tool (Japanese: ポケットモンスターセーブデータ改造ツール) or POKESAV is a discontinued and unofficial app for Microsoft Windows that edits saves of most core series Pokémon games for the Nintendo DS. It was developed by a Japanese programmer known by the alias "COM".

POKESAV can also export Action Replay DS codes to perform the changes directly in-game.

Releases

There are four different editions of the app, each for use only with the games it targets.

The Diamond and Pearl edition, which is at version 0.40d.
The Platinum edition, which is at version 0.06e.
The HeartGold and SoulSilver edition, which is at version 0.03a
The Black and White edition, which is at version 0.06c.

System requirements

A PC/AT-compatible or PC-98 series device
The Japanese releases of Windows 98 or later (Windows 95 also supported but only with Internet Explorer 3.01 or later installed)

Because the app is not written in Unicode, it will present either question marks or mojibake to non-Japanese Windows users. To work around this, users need to change the system's locale (language for non-Unicode software) to Japanese; however, changing the locale will affect all apps.
