In ''[[HZ024|Reunion at the Ancient Castle!]]'', it was revealed that many decades before the events of ''[[HZ001|The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One)]]'', {{p|Terapagos}} was discovered by {{OBP|Diana|Horizons}} in its dormant state within a briefcase stored away in the attic of her home when she was a young girl, together with [[Lucius]]'s research diary. Unaware that it was a Pokémon, Diana began her journey together with her [[Diana (Horizons)#Pokémon|Growlithe]] and the dormant Terapagos around her neck, hoping to uncover the mysterious past of the Ancient Adventurer. It remained completely dormant in her possession until she gifted it to her granddaughter [[Liko]] one year before the events of ''The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One)'', telling her that it would become important to her in the future. Some time after this, [[Hamber]], an old friend of Diana's, would offer to introduce her to [[Gibeon|someone]] who could help her with her adventures. However, when he would arrive at her home in [[Hammerlocke]], she learned that Hamber was a member of a suspicious organization known as the [[Explorers]] that wanted the pendant for an unknown purpose. Fearing for her granddaughter's safety as it was now in her possession, she enlisted the help of the [[Rising Volt Tacklers]] to protect her.

Terapagos was first shown in its dormant state in ''[[HZ001|The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One)]]'', in a case given by Liko's {{OBP|Diana|Horizons|grandmother}}. After [[Ann]] left for her school break, Liko went back to the dormitory and encountered [[Amethio]], who told her that he was sent to [[Indigo Academy]] by her grandmother to retrieve the pendant and give it back to her. Finding him suspicious, she began to flee with the pendant around her neck. Some time later, she was cornered by Amethio and [[Zirc|his]] [[Onia|teammates]]. Before they could take the pendant, however, a man named [[Friede]] came swooping down on his {{TP|Friede|Charizard}} to rescue Liko, battling [[Amethio's Ceruledge]]. While Amethio and Friede were battling, Liko took the opportunity to flee just as a stray {{m|Psycho Cut}} was headed towards her, causing her pendant to glow and create a protective shield around her and her {{TP|Liko|Sprigatito}}, revealing Terapagos's true form to Liko for the [[HZ002|first time]] before it returned to its pendant form.

In [[HZ030]], Terapagos was invited to watch a battle between {{p|Shuckle}} and a wild {{p|Polteageist}}. However, the battle was called off, as Terapagos and its friends partook in welcoming Polteageist to the group. They were then joined by Liko's Sprigatito, [[Roy's Fuecoco]], and [[Dot's Quaxly]] in welcoming Polteageist.

In [[HZ031]], Terapagos found out through Liko and her friends that its old friend Lapras was nearby. After Liko and her friends were able to draw Lapras out, Terapagos was happy to see it. However, in the [[HZ032|next episode]], Terapagos saw that Lapras decided to flee with its friends, and decided to talk to it. Through Arboliva and Moltres's help, Terapagos was able to convince Lapras that their friends were its friends as well. After Lapras decided to join the group, Terapagos witnessed the Black Rayquaza arriving at their location.

In [[HZ040]], during a training between Liko's Sprigatito and Roy's Fuecoco, Terapagos was almost hit by Sprigatito's {{m|Leafage}}, but was saved just in time by Liko, who took the hit in its place. As Liko left the airship to find the guilty Sprigatito, she had Hatenna watch over Terapagos, that decided to follow the girl all the way to [[Manya's house]] while Hatenna tried to get him back. When both arrived there and encountered Liko and Sprigatito, the two Pokémon were suddenly captured by a {{p|Spidops}}, that was quickly defeated by Sprigatito, freeing the two.

In [[HZ041]], {{TP|Dot|Tinkatink}} accidentally ran into Terapagos in the airship's battlefield as she was chased by Murdock, Dot, and Quaxly for trying to turn Murdock's frying pan into a hammer, causing Terapagos to fall onto its back.

In [[HZ043]], Terapagos helped Dot's Tinkatink get food by leading it to [[Ludlow]]'s {{p|Quagsire}}, that gladly shared some of its berries with it.

In [[HZ044]], Terapagos's energy signal used to summon Black Rayquaza was copied by a machine created by Explorers and used to lure Rayquaza into a trap. Terapagos helped Liko, Roy, and Ludlow locate where the Explorers were as it detected the energy signal their machine was making. In the [[HZ045|following episode]], after the Explorers gave up on trying to catch Rayquaza and left, the Rising Volt Tacklers and Amethio started fighting it instead as Terapagos repeatedly attempted to talk to the legendary dragon, which was in vain as Rayquaza flied away once again.

 

It also seems to have a strong desire to protect [[Liko]] from harm, summoning barriers made up of overlapping hexagons to shield her from attacks like {{m|Psycho Cut}} from [[Amethio's Ceruledge]], from his {{p|Corviknight}}'s talons and even from the [[Black Rayquaza]]'s {{m|Draco Meteor}}. It also seemed to have gotten agitated when it saw Amethio in ''Reunion at the Ancient Castle!'' because of his actions in hurting Liko and trying to take it away from her. Terapagos seems to be attached to Liko as it took a liking to her, after she expressed determination to save it from the [[Explorers]] in ''[[HZ016|Quaxly, We Can Do It]]''. Terapagos also seems to like sleeping in Liko's backpack. Terapagos even became friends with [[Liko's Sprigatito]] and {{TP|Liko|Hatenna}}, as its spends most of its time hanging out with them.
