Pokémon Generations: Difference between revisions

In the English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Dutch languages, they premiered on [[The Pokémon Company International]]'s [[YouTube]] channels (for each language) weekly between September 16 and December 23, 2016. The first two episodes were re-uploaded on The Pokémon Company International's YouTube channels (for each language) in HD on December 14, 2016 (the original uploads were not taken down, but were replaced in the Pokémon Generations playlist). The series was later released in Brazilian Portuguese on The Pokémon Company International's Portuguese YouTube channel starting on February 10, 2017. The last episode of the series was uploaded on July 20, 2017. In November 2017, some episodes of Pokémon Generations aired alongside some theatrical releases of ''[[M20|Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!]]'', and more in November 2018 with ''[[M21|Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us]]''.

In the Korean language, the first three episodes were uploaded on July 25, 2018. Three videos were uploaded every Wednesday until August 29, 2018. Some of the episode numbers were changed; episode 10 was released as episode 12 in Korean, and episodes 11 and 12 were released as episodes 10 and 11. However, by the end of February 2020, they no longer could be seen on any platform, presumably due to licensing issues. <!--On September 1, 2020, they were unofficially reuploaded onto Dailymotion and Google Drive, save for the first episode due to its lack of spoken dialogue.-->

 

In the Japanese language, the first six episodes were uploaded to [[The Pokémon Company]]'s YouTube channel on December 9, 2016. The seventh through ninth episodes were uploaded on December 16, 2016. The tenth through 12th episodes were uploaded on December 22, 2016. The 13th through 15th episodes were uploaded on January 26, 2017. The final three episodes were uploaded on February 2, 2017.

Although the miniseries is more faithful to the games than the main series, there are still some differences, mainly to enhance the plot or due to time constraints.

* Looker does not arrest [[Charon]] at [[Stark Mountain]]. Instead, Charon escapes with help from two {{tc|Team Galactic Grunt}}s.

* Like in [[Pokémon Origins]], all of the Pokémon in this miniseries make realistic, animal-like sounds instead of saying their species' names like in the [[Pokémon anime|main series]].

* All of the {{player|main protagonists}} that appear in the miniseries have no dialogue, are never referred to by name, and their faces are heavily obscured.

* [[Generation IV]] is the only [[generation]] covered in the miniseries from which no main protagonist is featured.

* [[Team Plasma]] is the only [[villainous team]] to appear in all three episodes covering their respective [[region]].
