==Biology==

Appletun is a dragon-like {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} whose body is reminiscent of apple pie. It is mostly green with a yellow underside and lower jaw, and it has an orange spot on its chest that resembles an apple core.<ref>[https://www.models-resource.com/nintendo_switch/pokemonswordshield/model/32675/ Appletun's model], ripped from ''Pokémon Sword and Shield''.</ref> It has a piece of an apple on its head worn as a helmet. Its leaf-like eyestalks usually droop down from under the apple helmet as though they were ears, but may be lifted up to reveal small beady eyes. It has black slits for nostrils on the tip of its muzzle. It has a large hump on its back with several overlapping stripes that resemble an apple pie's crust on top, along with a pair of red and green leaves. It has four short, bulky legs with paws, and a stout tail.

Appletun is the [[Signature move|only known Pokémon]] capable of learning the move {{m|Apple Acid}}. Appletun, {{p|Flapple}}, and their pre-evolution {{p|Applin}} are the [[Signature Ability|only known Pokémon]] that can have {{a|Ripen}} as an [[Ability]].
