I've been discussing this behind the scenes. What are your thoughts of moving things to pages like [[Escalation Battle]] and [[Competitive Stage]] already are? Some don't really deserve their own page, though they might anyway just to provide separation. Putting this entire cycle on one page is going to be a painful experience, but we are considering publishing everything at once over revealing it a week at a time since we have [https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/143412573973250048/416596363027939338/A3y86ZJ.jpg a chart] showing everything (assuming no errors). Still lots of new stages in there, too, to make notes of. The nice thing is we can reuse a lot of the stage data in our cycle charts, and I'm considering whether we should try setting up something to show what week it is on the cycle page somewhere so we can list weeks over dates, though this might be more complicated.  [[User:CycloneGU|CycloneGU]] ([[User talk:CycloneGU|talk]]) 03:37, 26 February 2018 (UTC)

:Splitting the Special Stages into several different pages sounds like a great idea, actually. The page itself has gotten really bloated in some parts - Safaris, for example - plus that navigation template on the bottom of the page would fit well with splitting everything up. I say we should do it.

:What's the current plan for displaying all of the cycle schedule's information? I'm thinking we could replicate that chart you have and use it as a hub page, with each Pokémon displayed as an icon with its name underneath it. Each of the subpages that we split off from Special Stages could then have a section at the bottom just for cycle events. From there, we could have the icons of each Pokémon on the hub page link to the appropriate subpage for more info on that Pokémon's stage.

:::::::Hey, it's been a while since we last discussed this (more than 6 months, but I think my reason to revive this is legitimate). I've found the time to make a [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:Boblers/Shuffle_Event_Cycle mockup of the cycle page in my userspace], using the 1-section-per-week model. Shortly after making it I found some potential issues, mostly due to the event types not perfectly meshing with one another. Some events span 2 weeks instead of one, which risks duplication or bloat; several events use unique mechanics that need their own table column (e.g. Safari spawn percentages), but then large chunks of the tables end up null/empty, etc. I've outlined those issues in detail at the top of the mockup page. Please let me know what you think. [[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 06:50, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

== PSMD template ==

  As a child, I grew up just a few miles south of Kennett Square, the mushroom capital of the world. This fact was never lost on my father who would often say, “don’t be a mushroom.” By that, he meant: don’t sit in the dark and be fed manure your whole life, just to get canned at the end of it all.
Once again, massive thanks for creating a draft of the PSMD template for the spin-off games section. Is it going through the mainspacing process already? --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 21:35, 18 June 2023 (UTC)
:Oh, it's already live here: [[Template:Spindata/PSMD]].
:Thank you for the poke though, I just realized I forgot to add the documentation! That's been added now. --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 22:25, 18 June 2023 (UTC)

:::This project is going to be massive. Over 700 Pokémon entries to add this way. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 08:44, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

:::::Just reached your edits on Wooper and realized I have been placing the info box in the wrong spot for every Pokémon until now. I didn't realize that info boxes from the same game series were supposed to be placed on top of each other. I think I need help fixing this massive mistake. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 20:36, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
::::::No worries, I'll start fixing them counting up from Bulbasaur. Could you fix the ones counting down from Wooper, and we meet in the middle? --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 02:09, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
:::::::Sure. I was sleeping when you sent that post, but I'll get that started now. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 07:48, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
{{indent}}Update: I've fixed everything up through Snorlax, which seems to meet up with your corrections.

  I learned a lot from my father who grew up on a dirt floor in Turkey. His story demonstrated how lucky I was to be born and raised in America: the land of freedom, opportunity, and justice for all. It was he and my mother who taught me that America was the shining city on the hill and that through hard work, perseverance, and a little bit of luck, I could achieve my own version of the American Dream.
I'm also double-checking the entries as I go, currently my last checked one is Furret. You're doing great work! --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 01:51, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
:I've felt a bit unmotivated recently, mostly because I feel like I should edit my previous PSMD templates so that 1) the gender symbols are not included in the links, and 2) the same Pokémon's link isn't repeated twice in the same template, in order to match your edits better. Speaking of which, thanks for continuing the work. Even slow progress is progress still. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 14:09, 9 September 2023 (UTC)

  After graduating from medical and business school in Philadelphia, I operated on thousands of patients and invented a tool to fix heart valves that has saved many lives while cutting medical costs. And, as a television host, I focused on empowering individuals to take control of their own health and pursue their dreams.
== Move templates ==

  However, for many across our country, it seems like the shining city has grown a little dim as of late. People feel like they no longer have agency over their lives, no choice in their communities, and no say in the increasingly radical policies coming out of Washington. All the while, hardworking Pennsylvanians are being told they can’t say what they see happening all around them.
I'm not sure if I like your new edits on the manga and anime move templates. While the names showing while the template is collapsed is not a bad thing, now the "notes" section is unnecessarily wide and the "episode/chapter used" section is unnecessarily squished and narrow. Plus, I personally prefer the original layout of four images side by side, as opposed to the two center images being on top of each other. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 14:09, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
:Oh - I hadn't noticed the width thing, thank you for the heads up. It seems the templates were capping the "first seen in" column's width at 20% (though this was previously being overridden by the 4 images of 150px width each). I've removed that cap, and "first seen in" is noticeably wider now to let its contents breathe.
:Regarding the four-column system: it seemed to have an issue where mobile shrunk the images in place, so they could end up hard to see. The new flex version allows the images to wrap to another row on narrow screens, and maintain a somewhat-readable size. Although, I do admit that 3 and then 1 looks a tad awkward on desktop - so I've upped the enforced width from 630px to 655px, if that helps? --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 22:29, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
::Looks a lot better now. Is the "Pokémon" section as wide as it is on purpose? --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 22:51, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
:::The width of the Pokémon column seems to be determined by [[Template:Movep]], which sets it to 35% width. Do you think it's too much? --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 23:19, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
::::Yeah. Leaves a lot of empty space. And speaking of space, the white backgrounds look extremely bland. Can't it just match the type color, like the top of the template? Same with the image backgrounds. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 09:19, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
:::::Or rather, how it originally used to be. I liked that coloration style. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 09:21, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
::::::I've removed the set width on Movep, so the columns should now size themselves according to contents. Since most Pokémon columns just say "X's Pokemon" instead of sentence(s), most of them are displaying more compactly now.
::::::Regarding the color thing, some concerns were raised in the Discord that typecolor-text-on-typecolorlight-bg isn't as readable as simple black-on-white. I changed it to use more black and white for text and bg where possible, and it seems to have been received positively. I think it's better to keep it like that, at least for now. --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 13:13, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
:::::::My apologies, but I personally couldn't disagree much more regarding the color issue. The white background looks extremely bland and boring to me. And it's impractical too, as some moves have been different types or can have their type changed by an Ability or alike, which the new style does a rather poor job of conveying. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 16:24, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
:::::::Sorry about that, got a bit emotional there. If readability is an issue (which it personally wasn't for me, but regardless), perhaps the text color could be changed instead? I just think that white background looks overly basic and makes me feel the page has regressed. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 16:29, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
::::::::To be specific, I meant that the text color could be black or white regardless of the move type. That'd make the template easier to read while maintaining the more colorful and less dull outlook. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 22:03, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
::::::::Though, personally, I still fail to see the readability issue, and think the original type-based colors are a good option too. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 22:08, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
:::::::::Been too busy to respond, I take it? --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 20:40, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
{{indent}} A bit of that, yeah - I apologize, got caught up in some other projects. There was some discussion in the discord regarding color balance though, and I was experimenting with some samples in my userspace here: [[User:Boblers/movep]]. Some ideas pitched regarding the coloring were:
* Have black text on typecolor light. This seems to be fairly readable across all type colors (for reference, the original was type dark text on type background).
** Personally, I think white text on typecolor could also be viable, though maybe not on Electric.
* Have the grey divider lines colored (and/or have the Pokémon cell colored), but the white cells remain white.
These could maybe act as a middle ground that still has some visual flair. The conversation's not progressed much past that point, though. --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 22:02, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
:Update - I've now implemented the "alternators" style, as was discussed in the public Discord. --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 22:08, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
::Not sure what that means, but I'd still, at the very least, prefer colored backgrounds instead of white. I feel the templates have regressed with the change in background and text colors, but the text colors I could probably get used to if the background wasn't white. --[[User:FinnishPokéFan92|FinnishPokéFan92]] ([[User talk:FinnishPokéFan92|talk]]) 11:37, 10 December 2023 (UTC)

  In short, people feel like they’re being kept in the dark and being fed manure.
== Help with automated text coloring template updates ==

  I’m running for the United States Senate to turn the lights back on in America. That’s the first thing I do in the operating room, and it’s how we’ll start shining a light on what’s wrong with our country.
It's in relation to your recent edits for the [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Template%3AEpisodeInfobox&type=revision&diff=3794796&oldid=3794794 EpisodeInfobox] and the [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Template%3AEpicodePrevNext&type=revision&diff=3794815&oldid=2319718 EpicodePrevNext] templates for automated text coloring depending on the color scheme (specifically Paldea with making the text over the purple coloring white) that I would like your help to add in the same for the [[Template:Episodestaffheader]] and [[Template:Episodestafffooter]] templates.

  Over the past two years – under the Joe Biden and John Fetterman agenda, violent crime has surged in our communities. Just last year, Philadelphia broke its all-time homicide record with 562 deaths, and is maintaining that pace so far this year with more than 400 homicides and over 1,000 carjackings for the first time ever.
I did try it for the Episodestafffooter myself, but I couldn't get it working at all.

  The rise in violent crime has to stop, but far-left radical extremists like my opponent, John Fetterman, would make it worse by putting criminals ahead of victims and law-abiding citizens. John Fetterman has also advocated for disarming the police and releasing of one-third of Pennsylvania’s inmate population – including violent first- and second-degree murderers.

:Hello! I've updated the templates, so they should now use white text on the purple when using that color scheme. For this, I was going off the color scheme names currently being used on Horizons' staff articles.
:Your edit on the footer was actually pretty close, it seems like it was just a stray close-quote that tripped you up.
:I'm also noticing that links are sometimes used when this template is called (such as for Friede's Seminar), but the blue doesn't look great against the purple. I'm not sure I can fix this from the template-level (normally I'd use class="whitelinks" but it wasn't working), but it can be fixed on page-level with [[Template:Color2]]. For example: <nowiki>{{color2|FFF|Professor Friede's Pokémon Seminar|フリード博士のポケモンゼミ}}</nowiki>. --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 21:55, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
::Hello back! The page-level fix of the Friede's Seminar Links does work - however, there is another part where links are sometimes used and that is for references in the midst of the pages which end up in the footer and links in that are still blue which makes it inconsistent with the rest now and I am unable to find a fix for that myself.
::--[[User:DomiDsLP|DomiDsLP]] ([[User talk:DomiDsLP|talk]]) 13:22, 23 September 2023 (UTC)
:::Hello yet again. As both a reminder if you missed the previous message and also additional info: I have tried using 'class:"whitelinks"' on the stafffooter to make the links white there, but just like with your case for the Seminar links, that didn't work. The hard part is that it's the romanization template which is being called upon for this and the romanization of some specific people which are in the references just includes links by chance. I do still require your assistance on this matter.
:::--[[User:DomiDsLP|DomiDsLP]] ([[User talk:DomiDsLP|talk]]) 17:48, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
::::Hello! I was actually a bit stumped on that, and reached out for help in the Discord - after a suggestion today and some testing, whitelinks seems to work as a div instead of a style on the cell. I've updated the template with this functionality now, does it look alright? --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 21:12, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
:::::Yeah, it does look just as requested! Of course, logically now I'd wonder if that same trick would work with the Seminar point from before by adding that to the Episodestaffheader as well. So I tried that out just now, but it seems like I did something wrong yet again.
:::::--[[User:DomiDsLP|DomiDsLP]] ([[User talk:DomiDsLP|talk]]) 18:48, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
::::::I took a look, and I think I've fixed it now. You definitely have the right idea, though! Here's some tips on what I think went wrong with the code, if you're interested:
::::::* The text you want to color must be within the div, i.e. something like <nowiki><div {{#switch:...}}> mytext </div></nowiki>, however you had the div separate and didn't have the text inside it, so it couldn't be colored. Since the template has the text inside "span" and "small" tags already, I decided to put the switch on those instead - so something like: <nowiki><span {{#switch:...}}> mytext </span></nowiki> and <nowiki><small {{#switch:...}}> mytext </small></nowiki>
::::::* The footer took the color scheme as the second unlabeled field, so that field is accessed by <nowiki>{{{2|}}}</nowiki>. However, the header actually takes color scheme as a field named "colorscheme", which is accessed by <nowiki>{{{colorscheme|}}}</nowiki>. You had the switch taking 2 instead of colorscheme, so it wasn't able to read the right value.
::::::--[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 23:45, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
:::::::Yes, it does now work as intended and thanks for the help and the explanation in total now. --[[User:DomiDsLP|DomiDsLP]] ([[User talk:DomiDsLP|talk]]) 23:53, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

  Worse yet, John Fetterman has supported decriminalizing drugs like heroin and fentanyl, which have already poisoned too many of Pennsylvania’s youth. Such radical policies have no place in Pennsylvania, especially when we have the fourth highest number of fentanyl deaths in the country.

Hey. I've noticed you work a lot with templates. I was writing up [[Special:redirect/page/302374|documentation]] for {{template|Pokémon/9}} when I noticed it could do with a couple of updates.<br/>
1. Change the image size from <code>100px</code> to <code>100x100px</code>, so if using a different image, it would be resized to fit into the square. ([https://discord.com/channels/202737349996576769/1112283007705940061/1197314802238886039 example])<br/>
2. resize the shiny star to 10px or whatever the correct text height is. Also make it link it to Shiny Pokémon. ([https://discord.com/channels/202737349996576769/1112283007705940061/1197315917781159956 example])<br/>
Since the template is unprotected, I could make the changes myself, but I thought I'd ask first since it is a high use template. → [[User:PikaTepig999|<span style="color:#000;">Pika</span>]][[User talk:PikaTepig999|<span style="color:#000;">Tepig</span>]][[Special:Contribs/PikaTepig999|<span style="color:#000;">999</span>]] 04:20, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
:Sounds reasonable to me, I think you can go ahead and change it. --[[User:Boblers|Boblers]] ([[User talk:Boblers|talk]]) 06:51, 19 January 2024 (UTC)

  But even if we had safer streets, 40 year high inflation is still crushing the middle and working classes and driving down real wages. Over the last two years, the cost of living in Pennsylvania has skyrocketed, gas prices have gone through the roof, and simple necessities like baby formula have become harder to get than fentanyl in our cities.

Hello there. May you please grant me the ability to create pages on Bulbapedia? [[User:CuteShaymin|CuteShaymin]] ([[User talk:CuteShaymin|talk]]) 17:52, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
  My opponent, John Fetterman, will be a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s failing policies and make these problems worse. John Fetterman has advocated for a moratorium on Pennsylvania’s natural gas production, which he calls a stain on Pennsylvania, and he believes more government is the solution along with more tax-and-spend schemes. Together, these policies will rob our working class of their financial security and economic freedom, causing stress and illness.

  In the U.S. Senate, I will fight to lower inflation and cut taxes. I will work to make Pennsylvania a leader in energy production, decrease healthcare costs while improving outcomes, and provide better schools with more choice. I will give power back to you, because you are the best person so make decisions about your family and home.

  I believe we can solve these challenges together and help those who have been hurt the most. Pennsylvania can be a leader in Washington for the rest of the country, but we need bold leadership with fresh ideas – not the same radical politics that have gotten us to this point.
