'''Route 9''' (Japanese: '''９ばんどうろ''' ''Route 9'') is a route located in the northern section of [[Unova]]. [[Tubeline Bridge]] serves as its western terminus, and leads to [[Opelucid City]] at its eastern terminus. Route 9 also holds the entrance to [[Challenger's Cave]], which is only accessible after defeating the [[Elite Four]].

Route 9 is a short route between Tubeline Bridge and Opelucid City. There are six {{pkmn|trainer}}s, and one [[double battle]]. Two of the trainers are moving, while the the others are stationary. To the north of the route is [[Shopping Mall Nine]], with a [[vending machine]] to the right. At the bottom of the route are several [[tall grass]] patches and {{DL|Tall grass|dark grass}} patches, separated by trees. After going down stairs, a {{tc|Black Belt}} will be blocking the entrance to [[Challenger's Cave]]. After completing the game, Challenger's Cave may be entered.

[[Shopping Mall Nine]] is located on Route 9.
