A '''Skier''' (Japanese: '''スキーヤー''' ''Skier'') is a type of [[Pokémon Trainer]] that first debuted in the [[Generation II]] games. They look like young women (and, in [[Sinnoh]], young men) dressed in winter clothing and on skis.


At first, they appeared to be the female counterparts of [[Boarder]]s. However, in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, they appeared in both genders as Skiers. The male Skier also looks nearly identical to a Boarder in outfit design.
