I understand it can be difficult for you to exploit it, as you'll have to do it at exactly the right moment: I've just managed to do it 2 or 3 times, so that it may be a need for research.
You'll have to do the following:
*Go to the Wi-fi Plaza;
*Run in the direction of a player which is about to warp out of that place.
If you manage to reach him/her ~1 second before he/she warps out, the two graphics will be mixed until the player warps out.

I've recently started playing my Blue Version again, and while grinding my Pokemon in Diglett's Cave, I've noticed that when I use my Butterfree and Golbat, and the Diglett use Dig, it always says the attack misses, instead of 'It doesn't affect Buterfree...' like it does with my Pidgeotto and Gyarados.
